For a different perspective, I’m really enjoying this, especially for the price. I wouldn’t necessarily disagree with krushnine’s comments, but I’m digging it in spite of this. It’s nicely atmospheric, the lighting effects add a lot to this, and the combat is fun if simple. Some basic strategy is required as you get deeper (levels 4-5 are where the gloves start to come off), selecting the right weapons etc. I’m sure the fact it reminds me of some ancient Amiga game I used to love is favoring it, but I can recommend it as a neat arcade-like rogue. It also has a Spelunky-like Daily challenge, hidden away in the menus for some odd reason.

Well, it has Ubisoft rabies, but on GMG there’s Settlers 7 + all DLC packs for 4 dolla ($5 + coupons).

I know some people were looking for a good price on Injustice: Gods Amongst Us Ultimate Edition…below you can get for $10-$11…it is one of those steam key shops, but folks on the steam forums seem to say it works great and have had no issues with getting their orders completed. If interested, might be worth it.

The Steam version of Wizardry 8 is $2.49 right now, but if you get it bundled with 6 & 7, all three are $2.24 - 25 cents cheaper.
I remember when W8 came out I was obsessed with it, and actually completed it. I don’t know how it holds up, but I couldn’t NOT buy it for two freaking dollars. I’m pulling it down now, we’ll see if I can get into it again. I hope my $2.24 eventually becomes part of the chunk of cash that makes someone realize we could definitely use more games like this!

Even though I played a bunch of the Wizardry games when they came out I always hated the sci fi elements they would through in. It just really bugged me. I’ve also realized that I have a really hard time going back and playing old games with few exceptions (I liked MOO 2 when I played in in the last year). I was tempted by Remember Me, but I went back and saw how many so-so reviews it got, both player and critic. Maybe when it hits truly bargain bin prices.
Time to go watch and see if the Cowboys can come back in the 2nd half. I’ve got it paused.
Yeah, I thought that Sir Tech’s obsession with adding sci-fi crap to their Wizardry games was just not a good idea.
