I was waiting until I could beat the game at least once without the expansion, but this price is too good to pass up. I just won’t apply the code to Steam until I beat the game at least once, how about that?

I never beat it either (I got to the point where I had a couple of good psychic troops but not enough), but I think I may just start up a new game.

I beat the game on normal without any psychic troops (didn’t know you could get psychics) and found the game pretty easy and tried to play a new game on classic but got bored in a few hours (same maps and same missions but with ridiculously hard spawns right on top of you). Couldn’t resist the sale on Enemy Within and hoping it will spice up the game enough for another play through.

Yes, i was a fan of base game so when the DLC finally hit a reasonable price for what it provided ($10), i did pick it up as well.

Doesn’t the now GFW Live-less version of Bioshock 2 on Steam come with Minerva’s Den by default? Or is that only if you bought it beforehand?

To rei-- I found an ebay nvidia promo code seller with a buy-it-now price of $25 on AC4 and the Splinter Cell title so I couldn’t resist and went for it. Maybe if it’s a separate code I can give the Splinter Cell game away, who knows. Of course, we’ll have to see whether the seller comes through (fingers crossed).

Re: these ebay sellers, I wonder how that works, especially when they have more than one of an item. Are they buying fancy video cards and reselling them sans promo cards, then selling the cards separately?

Only if you got it beforehand. Newcomers need to buy the DLC separately.

Considering how much I love CK2 I got it when it was $10 a few weeks ago. I bounced off it the first time and went back to playing CK2.
I guess i just need to watch 40 more hours of let’s plays of EU4 like i did with CK2 then I’ll be good to go? Any tips for a CK2 vet trying to break in?

Strangely, I keep bouncing off CK and I love the EU series. Maybe it is just a ‘you can like one, but not the other’ thing? ;)

I’ve only finished a game with EW, but I’m having a tough time figuring out how you beat the game without any psychics - isn’t at least one mandatory for the end game?

You need at least one to enter the gallop chamber to become “the one”. Maybe he only got one and didn’t get any other ones after that.

I’m playing Ironman Classic my first game of EW right now - man the difficulty is weird now. Normal missions for the most part have been a cakewalk for me but council and other special missions I’ve failed miserably.

I won’t spoil what it is but there’s a scripted mission thrown in now that man…I got to the end, triggered the start of a swarm and just couldn’t complete it. 4 Dead soldiers including a mech and I had to retreat. I just didn’t have the firepower to stop the horde.

Having a ball still, surprised I’m still hanging on. I’m losing so many troops…must have had a dozen soldiers die on me. I was down to 3 total before the last mission. Time to train some more rookies.

I have put almost 300 hours in EU4 in the past three months. My problem currently is getting back into CK2 as I have gotten so used to the EU4 interface. If only I could stop playing EU4 for one week to reset my brain… nope!
