The Nooks have high ppi than the Nexus 7 and are bit better for reading. That said, I moved from a Nook Tablet to Nexus 7 about 6 months ago. Nook’s time is limited, I think. Adding Google Play is a last ditch effort to staunch.

I also spread my ebook buying around.

No idea how decent this deal is, but I saw over on Slickdeals that Gamefly has a Civ 5 + XCOM Enemy Unknown pack for $20. You should be able to add coupon GFDMAY20 to bring it down to $16.

While B&N is considering splitting the retail business from the digital side, they haven’t done anything yet. The sale pricing is for Mothers’ Day and as a promo to highlight the addition of the Google Play store.

Iy looks like the Gamers’ Gate sale is over, but the offers on XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Impire remin for one more day at least.

Newegg has Mass Effect 3 for $10 - $10 rebate, so it’s essentially free. I’ve avoided it up until now because of Origin, but I guess for free I’ll at least put in the backlog pile.

Done! Thanks Gedd!!! Free works for me. Now I can finally find out thie ending that left so many people outraged. I’ve played a couple of games on Origin, DA2 and KoA. Seemed uneventful to me.

Or better yet you can just install MEHEM (Mass Effect Happy Ending Mod) and get a decent ending to the series.

They are. They also partnered with Microsoft in an attempt to stem the Amazon/Apple behemoths. I don’t think they will be successful.

Thanks for the heads-up!

EDIT: Venetica and Rollercoaster Tycoon 3: Gold Compilation Pack are also offered for the same price and rebate–both are FREE!

I approve of free. Well spotted, that man.

Dammit, I just bought Brutal Legend last week. I could have gotten Stacking too.

Apparently sold out. I can add it to my cart, but when I view my cart, it says some items have been removed because of insufficient stock. Oh well.

Same here.

You can only copy bits and bytes so many times before they wear out…

Oh, shit. Is that a real thing?

EDIT: yes it is.

What it does

The Mass Effect 3 Happy Ending Mod inserts a new ending cobbled together from assets taken from the three original endings, the extended cut, and elements from Mass Effect 2, plus snippets of newly recorded dialogue. It removes the catalyst and makes the destruction of the Reapers the only outcome. It removes the crash-landing planet. It removes the implication that destroying the Reapers also kills Edi and the Geth (and adds the option of seeing the Geth and the Quarians being totes best buds). It also does something that damn well should have been in the final game, namely adds a scene after the war with Shepard being reunited with the crew and their love interest. As the modder puts it, “it is a real bitter-sweet ending with the emphasis on “sweet” rather than on “bitter”".

Darn. I would’ve been happy to buy this for $10 too.
Part of the problem is that I have no plans to install this ‘Origin’ thing people keep mentioning (at least not before I’m forced to do so), so I’m not really keeping track of if/when ME3 is going on sale.

Some helpful Qt3 people have convinced me that I need to buy this game with a few DLCs too, so maybe I can just wait for ME3 to appear on Steam with a GotY bundle? Maybe?

Hitman Absolution $7.49 @ Gamersgate. Like a bird, it’s cheap cheap.

Bargain of the year. This will save me an entire franchise. ^.^

Newegg also has Shin Megami Tensei IV (3DS) preorder for $42 after promo code EMCXRXN225. Should be good for another 27 hours. All first print releases of this game are upgraded to the Limited Edition for free, which includes a strategy and design book as well as a CD with selected tracks from SMT’s histoy.
