Thanks for the heads-up, Locker K. Just moved my preorder over from Amazon.
Nice! Just scooped them both up. Thanks!
(I already own ME3, but haven’t finished, kind of “meh” about it so far.)

Seems there is a big rpg sale on Psn today. Ni No Kuni is £20($30) which is over half price. Also Ico and Sotc HD pack is £11($13) which is a bugger as i bought it yesterday at £20.
Defintely getting Ni No Kuni here even if my backlog is massive.

According to that article Ico and SotC are free in June for PS+. Dammit, why don’t I have a Euro PS+ account?

TBH it doesn’t say, maybe it is, which is unusal because normally you guys get the best deals. Maybe it just needs an update to the US market.
Steam’s midweek deals are on the Serious Sam and Need for Speed franchises. If you could play only one NfS game, which would it be?
EDIT: also it looks like the prices on Skyrim and Dishonored have been permanently cut to $30 ea.
It says it’s the Need for Speed Franchise, but all they’ve got on Steam is Undercover, Shift and the latest Hot Pursuit. They don’t have either the older (Razor Callahan FTW) nor the newer Most Wanted games.

Aliens Colonial Marines for 360 is $10 on GameFly again. Ten bucks is my “what the hell” price, but note that complaints about the game’s quality are valid.
That was such a gem of a game. I so wish it were out on GoG or something. Worked great with my ACTLabs ForceRS wheel too.

Yeah, needs a release that works on modern machines, maybe gog can make it work. I still have the disc here but it never seems to work without issues fo some sort or other.
Don’t do it unbongwah. I’ve played all the Need For Speed games except for the Underworld games, and I think Hot Pursuit is the worst one of the lot. It’s also the worst Criterion racing game I’ve played too.
Of the ones I’ve played, I would rank them thusly in terms of how much enjoyment they gave me.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005)
Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed
Need for Speed IV: High Stakes
Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit
Need for Speed 2: SE
Need for Speed: Shift
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2
I played a little bit of 1 but that was years after I had played the others, and I also tried the demo for Underworld and I was unimpressed.
As for which one you should play if you can only play one? That’s tough to say. Porsche Unleashed is great, but it doesn’t really capture the spirit of the series. The same goes for Shift. 2, 3, and 4 were all wonderful games but they’re pretty old now and even if you could get them running well on modern hardware and operating systems, they’re really going to show their age. The PC version of Hot Pursuit 2 is a pile of shit due to the laggy controls that were never fixed (I heard the PS2 version was great, though). Apart from the crappy soundtrack and some screwy driving physics here and there, Most Wanted is a ton of fun. I don’t know about the newer titles because I haven’t played any of them.

Have to disagree, The original Need for Speed on the 3DO and Porche Unleashed are the best and both represent the best of NFSPD. It wasn’t about polic cars, boy racers, upgrades and chases it was about driving your cars as fast and quickly as you could from A to B. The series since has morphed in to something totally different and not necessarily that good.
Is From Dust any good? It’s about $5 on Steam right now.

Visually I loved the water effects and such. Gameplay wise I remember swinging between boredom and frustration at the later puzzles. If you’re interested in the game, $5 seems about right to check it out in my opinion.
