You recommended a friend which gives both of you $2.50.

Or you bought games eg BioShock Infinite which give you $5.

Speaking of which I do have enough credit to make Tomb Raider looks inviting.

But I’m playing Dragon Age now and really enjoying it but find the Redcliffe Keep, I chose this branch first, really difficult!

Note that the GamersGate spacey sale now includes the Sword of the Stars games (1 and 2). They’ve also put their Crusader Kings games/DLC on sale, but I think the prices were better at Amazon.

I got a lot of good gameplay out of SotS1.

This is hard for me to accept (I love Moo2, and as I’ve said elsewhere, I think it holds up very well with right-click tooltips and info that neatly explain the mechanics), but I guess this is one more argument for me to really try Moo1. I bought both via GoG, but the few times I’ve fired up Moo1, I’ve immediately closed it because the interface seemed so dated. Plus, I don’t think Moo2 is ever really that tedious. The number of planets and ships to manage is actually relatively few compared to many (most?) space 4x games that followed.

Gamestop are also having a Crusader Kings 2 sale, which includes all the DlCs, but not the two most recent expansions - The Republic and The Old Gods

Gamersgate has the D&D collection for $5.99 again.

I almost wish I didn’t already own them all; such a good deal!

Tomb Raider is fantastic. Of the three AAA games I finished this year (BS infinite, Resi 6, TB), TB was the best, most enjoyable one for me (the others are good too though).

Tomb Raider is back to $49.99. I missed it.

Oh well, I have plenty of other stuff to play I guess.

As a Square Enix game, TR price will come down by Summer sale, you can bet on it!

Bump

Couple more EA deals (all Origin):

Syndicate for $4.99
Crysis Maximum & Crysis 2 Maximum for $11.99
Crysis 3 for $29.99

Just noticed this EA bundle for $9.99 (Origin). Includes:
[ul]
[li]Mirror’s Edge[/li][li]Mercenaries 2[/li][li]Burnout: Paradise Ultimate Box[/li][li]The Saboteur[/li][li]Bulletstorm[/li][/ul]

The CK1 Complete in the Amazon bundle does have a product key that activates on Steam.

Hey all,

Drakensang River of Time is on sale via Amazon, but I still can’t buy it because Amazon won’t sell digital games to a non-us credit card. This game will never be available in my region!

Would any of you kind souls in the US be willing to manage the $3 transaction for me and send me the resultant Steam code? I can pay up front via Paypal, direct deposit, etc, whatever you like.

Thanks in advance!

You need a US billing address, not a US credit card. Get a free US address from borderlinx.com, add it to Amazon as a billing address, and add your Au card to that address. Then you can checkout with that billing address and enjoy not being ripped off for once! ;)

But hey if you are in a hurry I’ll do it right now for you, been looking to pick that one up myself and that is super cheap.

Nope, still no go. I have a shipito US address, added that to Amazon, with my AU card details, still declines to sell me an online code based on me not being a US based customer. I think it is doing a check on the card. Even if I am logged in asks me to confirm my card number before actually purchasing.

Yesssssssss please!!!

I’ll PM my email, reply with your paypal address if that suits!

Bizarre, it worked for me (and others I know as well), in fact I just used it then! Ok let’s take it to PMs, buying now.

I use Apple’s Cupertino address for these US only Amazon deals. Can use my local credit card with no issues.

River of Time was an amazing game. $3 is a total steal for a game I sunk 57 hours into.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of this series (it’s hard to be sure–anything with ‘dragon’ in the name automatically sounds familiar), but the screenshots look great and the one and only Amazon review sounds great.

It’s hard to argue with $3 for some norse-themed RPG goodness. Plus it says:

Living on a ship, players will experience a broad variety of RPG quests.

I’m not quite sure what the ship has to do with it, but I find that bullet point strangely compelling. Sold. Thanks for the tip.

PS: Does anyone know if this plays well with a gamepad? I bought an Xbox 360 controller for some comfy-couch gaming (it seemed worthwhile since so many PC games are now sporting ‘console-ized’ interfaces), but I’ve been surprised to find that most of my library doesn’t support the gamepad very well. :(

No. It’s a top down point and click RPG like Baldur’s Gate or whatever.
