The Humble Store is offering the Anno 2070 Complete Edition for $12.49 U.S.

No, it’s all minor multi-player stufff and the MP scene is dead.

Great game. Recommend to anyone who likes eco-sim games.

VALVE STOLE MY -NON FRAUDULENT- GEMS

I’ll bet you’ll at least get back the items they came from.

Edit: I mean, they’re at least sorting out the mess from whatever exploits were happening.

Do we know if a) this is a Steam key? and b) if Ubisoft has fixed this yet? Last I checked the auth servers were down and no one could play it

Doesn’t this happen just about every time Valve tries this sort of thing? They need to hire the some better hackers or whatever to test their systems for exploits before rolling them out.

All I know is that $1 of gems would give the ability to create about $20 of booster packs. That struck me as a bit counter to the intended purpose of the whole arrangement.

A quick search says they’re now blaming an exploit which allowed you to duplicate Gems, creating an infinite number of them. The details of how the exploit worked are unclear.

a) No, The key will redeem on Uplay.
b) Not sure, I didn’t hear about that.

Even if it were a steam key it would still launch their crappy store interface, although now the interface auto-launches the game. You only need to shut it down after.
The auto-patcher was broken a week or so ago (not sure if it still is) but you can get around it by renaming it so it gets skipped and just launches the game.

I was playing around with it last night for a bit trying to purchase sacks of gems for $0.03 (because damn that’s a lot of booster packs for $1!) and watching my orders get autocancelled when they would even get through. I saw the same handful of accounts listed as sellers on most of the Sack of Gems transactions that were flying past. I wasn’t able to duplicate the exploit before they shut things down, but I suspect it had something to do with the “Pack gems into sack” buton that appeared on any pile of gems in your inventory. Mine was lit up despite only having 10 gems at the time, so if I had clicked it maybe it would have made a “Sack of Gems” with a value of 1000 out of my 10 gems? I could see that getting out of control fast. It also explains why people were snatching up $0.03 emoticons and profile items like crazy.

Oh well. I hope the fix it and bring it back, as I have about 3000 gems worth of inventory that I would like to turn into 3 or 4 booster packs before the winter sale. Although now card values are in the toilet thanks to gempocalypse.

I sell all my cards and don’t care, anyway. Although, actually, I “bought” the Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol cards. Not because I’m “collecting” them, just because I like airplanes.

All this stuff with cards and selling emoticons and gems and auctioning stuff makes me feel like an old geezer. I’ve never cared for any of that crap and have pretty much ignored it. I think that will continue to be my strategy.

In addition to the Anno 2070 deal, the Humble Store also has Legend of Grimrock on sale for $2.24 for the next 36 hours or so (Steam key).

GameFly has just started its monthly sale, with free shipping.

Highlights include Wolfenstein for XB1 and PS4 for $20. Lowest console price I’ve seen thus far.

Also, MLB14 (Sony exclusive) $15 for PS4, $13 for Vita. Vita FF X/X-2 remake for $18.

Killer is Dead for PS3 $8. Dark Souls 2 for PS3 $13. Selection seems slightly better for PS3 than 360 this time around.

Just sell everything and save between one and four dollars on your next game.

This exactly. I think of all this stuff as tiny rebates I get for playing Steam games.

Just save the money in your account until one of those games you’ve been eyeing drops to $1.50-$5.00 in a sale and snatch it up.

Night dive stuff on sale at steam.
System shock 2 for 99 cents, Wizardry 6+7+8 for 2.24, Darklands for 1.74, etc
