Dungeon of the Endless for $6.50. This is a Good Deal.
Spellforce Complete for $5.99 at the Humble Store fro 8 more hours. This includes everything Spellforce:
Spellforce Platinum
Spellforce 2 Gold
Spellforce 2 Faith in Destiny with all DLC
Spellforce 2 Demons of the Past with all DLC
Even if you already own Platinum and Gold, All the Faith in Destiny and Demons of the Past stuff together is worth way more than $6.
Slainte, are those strategy games or more RPGs, or a combo of the two? The trailer makes them look sort of “HoMMy”
They’re an awesomely fun mix of the two. I’ve played nearly every Spellforce game and loved them all.

Such a fun game. I get a real FTL feel from this game. It’s more about how far you can get in a run versus actually finishing. Lots to unlock as you play as well.

They sound and look good, but I’ve got the backlog from hell, and Elite Dangerous isn’t helping. :-/

I agree, it’s a fun game and well worth a try, even if I find it more RNG than FTL.

So, for those who are not familiar, there’s a lovely little Brazilian games service called Nuuvem: nuuvem.com.br
They have discounts that tend to be comparable to other electronic games retailers, except their original prices are in a currency that’s got an exchange rate of roughly 2.6 to every one USD. The combination tends to make things much, much cheaper than places like Steam or Origin, and they often are selling Steam/Origin/etc keys. Which often register just fine on US Steam, and aren’t in Portuguese or anything. The downside is that many of their games are actually region-locked to Brazil. And even more of them will complain if you try to buy them from a US (or European, I assume) IP. The solution to the latter is to use a browser extension called Hola (or another VPN with a server in Brazil, if you have one) and select to browse from Brazil. Voila, Nuuvem thinks you’re in Brazil and stops complaining. They will explicitly tell you about whether you’re getting a Steam key, if a game is region-locked to Brazil, etc, so you don’t need to play guessing games, but my hit rate has been low enough that I probably wouldn’t just casually shop there. Still, for certain deals it’s unbeatable. I got Alien Isolation over the Thanksgiving holiday season for $15, for example.
But the reason I’m posting now is that they currently have a deal on a non-region-locked Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel that, after conversion, puts it at $15 as well. Make sure to buy the Mac version because that’s priced lower for some reason. Don’t worry, it’s Steamplay and will run just fine on Windows and Linux as well. And while the season pass isn’t particularly discounted, the currency conversion means that is also $15 (a 50% savings over the MSRP, and it is not only not on sale anywhere else, but based on BL2, probably won’t be discounted for a long time yet). That one you want the PC version, because once again it is inexplicably cheaper than the Mac season pass listing even though they are literally the same thing.

Best Buy’s Gamers Club Unlocked membership is currently $30 for 2 years. If you have any last minute shopping to do this will pay for itself immediately. There are some secondary features, but the big draw is 20% off all new games – including LE and CE packages.

I wish stuff like this was available to Canadians.

Mine paid for itself several times over in a couple of months (which of course included the holiday gift season).

You get cheaper medication :-)
The normal price of $100 is awfully marginal. At $30 it looks more attractive. A decade ago, I’d have been all over an offer like this.
The problem is, I just looked at my spending history, and even though I’ve spent $981 on games in the last 2 years, none of that has been on full price games, and Best Buy is pretty much synonymous when paying full freight. The games I’ve purchased at / near release in the last 2 years have all had decent discounts, almost always more than the 20% Best Buy is offering:
- The Stick of Truth -23%
- Beyond Earth -25%
- Bioshock Infinite -41%
- Civ V: Brave New World -10%
- Dishonored -50%
… so in 2 years, I’ve had saved $6 by spending $30.
I guess it works better if you use it for Christmas gifts, but I don’t really have anyone on my Christmas list who plays video games.
Humble Store has some better than Steam Sale prices happening today:
