BG2 is still showing as $9.99 for me.

Oh - I thought it usually was $19.
You can purchase Dragon Age Inquisition (Standard Edition) for $26.99 from Origin.com by using a proxy. Use Google’s Chrome browser, add the Hola VPN plugin and then navigate to Origin.com. Next activate the Hola plugin to browse the page from Mexico or Brazil and login to your account on Origin. You should see approximately $26.99 for the Standard edition and about $29.99 for the deluxe edition. Add the game to your cart, checkout (I used PayPal) and the game should then be linked to your Origin account. I am a U.S. resident and the process worked just fine for me and the game is now showing in my Origin client.
Not sure how long the deal will last.

Bastion is $0.99 on the Mac App Store, for anybody with a Mac.
I guess it must be because I have the backlog from hell, and am mainlining Elite Dangerous these days, but I’m just not feeling this Steam sale at all. I picked up a DLC for State of Decay the other day and that’s it. The Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLCs for Skyrim I picked up from Amazon due to Steam and/or Bethesda’s steadfast refusal to let them go under 10 bucks each.
I was thinking about getting this, even though the general consensus seems to be that it probably isn’t worth $20. However Direct2Drive refuses to send me an email verification email, so I can’t register an account. I guess that saves me from wasting $20 in likely disappointment.
For what its worth, I loved Evil Within. This isn’t a horror game per se, but more of a cabinet of grotesque curiosities that takes inspiration from the Resident Evil 4 formula but modernizes the gameplay. One of my favorite games this year.

I agree with AntediluvianArk, pretty much verbatim.

Same here. 20$ might still be pushing it though, given the game’s length and replayability (there’s an NG+ mode though).

GMG is selling the basically brand new Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris for half off ($10), and with code winter-sale20-grogre, you can knock that down to $8.
Evil Within is free with any purchase over 35$ at the IndieGala store:
https://www.indiegala.com/store
Their bundles are also half price (1-2$).
Indiegala.com has special Christmas pricing for the next 36 hours or so.
The Paradoxical Bundle is a great deal at only $2. It contains:
[ul]
[li]Leviathan Warships
[/li][li]A Game of Dwarves
[/li][li]Knights of Honor
[/li][li]Majesty Gold HD
[/li][li]Sword of the Stars Complete
[/li][/ul]
Any one of those games is entertaining enough to be worth $2, paying that for all five is an incredible deal.
The Every Friday Bundle features 12 Steam keys and is only $1 through Christmas.
[ul]
[li]Into the Dark Ultimate Trash Edition
[/li][li]Third Eye Crime
[/li][li]Snuggle Truck
[/li][li]Scourge

[/li][li]Sacraboar
[/li][li]Dracula The Resurrection
[/li][li]Dracula 2 The Last Sanctuary
[/li][li]Dracula 3 The Path of the Dragon
[/li][li]Penguins Arena
[/li][li]RIP Trilogy
[/li][li]The Cameron Files : Secret at Loch Ness

Snuggle Truck and Coldfire Keep are easily worth the $1 for this bundle.
The Every Monday Bundle is also $1, but I honestly don’t know enough about any of the games included to recommend it, even at $1. Check it out yourself if you are interested.
Finally, if you spend $35 or more in the IndieGala Store they will give you The Evil Within for FREE. Nice.
Thanks, Slainte!

Is Majesty Gold HD worth getting? I already have the other two games so I could just get the $1 option.

Majesty is fantastic and unique. Even Majesty 2 didn’t really capture the full appeal, in my book.
I also really liked Majesty and i’m sad that the concept remains very unique even to this day, because i love it.
To me, the Majesty series is always in danger of being more of a puzzle game than kingdom simulation. The first game generally does pretty well at staying on the kingdom simulation side of things, but there are some missions i remember feeling that you basically had to puzzle out what the working build order was and stick to it to have any chance at all. This removes the most fun aspect for me, picking the classes i want and watching them grow.
To me the second game felt like they maximized the worst elements of the first game and minimized the best ones.
It also had less personality, which was a big part of Majesty’s appeal for me.
