So how good are Razer Deathadder mice? If you buy one at Best Buy today you get a $50 Steam card with it and free shipping. As it happens I have a $50 Best Buy gift card that’s been sitting in my wallet for the last year or so. Anyone used one/have opinions?

I use the original Naga, which has the same look as the Deathadder, but with more buttons on the side panel. I’ve been happy with it, but after a couple of years it started giving me false double-clicks. This is a well-known issue with the Naga and it appears the Deathadder has it as well after a couple of years of serious use. 2 weekends ago, I ended up taking apart the mouse, taking apart the micro-switch (I had no idea those little boxes could open) and cleaning it out to restore function. It’s back to normal play, when a replacement Naga would have run at least $80 and up to $120. For $50 I might have just bought another mouse, but I like the Naga a lot.

I had a logitech mouse double-click like that. Called them up and they mailed me a new one, told me to throw the old one out.

I had a deathaddler , also mouse click issue after about 3 years. Still a good deal tho.

I have contacted Logitech customer service a couple of times and they have always been great about supporting their products.

I have an older version of this mouse and absolutely love it. Enough that I went and did this deal just so I would have a spare. It doesn’t have as many buttons as a lot of the gaming mice out there. For me that’s a plus, less chance to confuse myself.

An addler! Of Death! Someone should use that.

Original Torchlight is free again on GOG.

Far Cry 2 is going for a mere $2.49 on GOG for a couple more hours, and Startopia for a buck less. Also Divinity 2 Director’s Cut for 4 bucks.

The fourth and final freebie of the day is live on GOG, for the next hour and change (I guess until 1PM GMT): Alan Wake

edit: NEVER MIND - now it’s showing up as 80% off… Weird.

I think what happened was Alan Wake showed up free in the middle of the night at some point, and at the end of it the price hadn’t been reset, so the next time it ended up in the rotation, it started off showing that it was free until someone caught it.

In any case, a quick browse of the GOG forums shows that indeed, Alan Wake was the fourth giveaway offered.

Space Colony HD is only $3.33 on GOG! 30 minutes left! One of the most unique city building/management games out there. I really dig it.

Are you sure? My Facebook feed from last night says this:

24-hour ADRENALINE RUSH continues! Until 10:29:59AM GMT (that’s only 30 minutes!) you can find Alan Wake’s American Nightmare for FREE among the stream of our amazing flash deals.

That’s just me being lazy and not wanting to type in “American Nightmare” before my morning caffeine fix. Are those separate products then? Didn’t realize. Figured it was just a tag line of some sort.

Yep. It’s a stand alone expansion I believe.

That was a fun game. Too bad there are not more games like that. The only thing I didn’t like about it was the relationship stuff you had to deal with every single scenario.

Trine 2 Complete is a great deal for $2

IndieGalahas a bundle including Sang-Froid and Windforge (game with sky whales that I’ve been eyeing in the GOG/Steam sales) for $1 if you buy today.

Everyone says Windforge is poop. $1 is very low risk, though.
