Or, in my case, a 75% chance it’s something I already have on Steam.
EDIT: What biosc1 said.
I got one, ended up with 1954: Alcatraz, which I’ll never play and doesn’t even have a soundtrack. Boo.
But hey, I didn’t already own it, so…yay?

Have you played all the other Saints Row games? Do you still want more, not of the wacky story missions, but the side activities and superpowers? If so…well, I paid $5 at launch but $10 wouldn’t be awful. If not I would either play previous SR games or not bother.

Yes! This is the correct answer!

Shadowrun Dragonfall is a hell of a deal, if you’re into RPGs.
The other Shadowrun franchise is supposedly the juice that leaks out of the bottom of your trashbags that smells like something between apple juice and ammonia. The Shadowruns you want are Dragonfall and Hong Kong, accept no substitutes.

I didn’t play those yet, but Shadowrun Returns was a lot of fun!

That is supposedly a fun game.
This post just saved me $3. I was going to roll the dice, until I saw Brian’s post and realized the dice are loaded. 1954 Alcatraz is going for $0.99 over at the Humble Encore Sale (sorry Brian), and it’s been that low numerous times even on GOG. It’s also been a part of plenty of $1.99-$2.99 bundles here and there, all of which tells me GOG has loaded the piñata party with the equivalent of the root beer barrel. Sure, it’s technically a piece of candy, but when you were thinking you would see a mini-Snickers, Reese’s cup or at least a freaking Tootsie roll, it is sure to disappoint. I’m guessing 1954 Alcatraz is far from the only bundle-fodder stinker GOG has 1000 copies of in this sale.

But… I like root beer barrels!

Done! Cyberpunk turn-based RPG for cheaps I’m in.

I liked it a lot, hit that “just a little more Saints Row” itch for me. Lots of activities as opposed to story missions, but a really well done flying mechanic.

Yeah, the flying is great. Narrative’s just a big priority for me in games, and Gat Out of Hell is super-weak on that front compared to prior Saints Row titles.

There’s also Tabletop Simulator for $10 on the humble store.

The Playstation sale has some pretty good deals for Plus users. I saw the Red Dead Redemption bundle for only $8 and Ni no Kuni for $6.

Red Dead Redemption is one of the games I figured I’d play when I bought my used PS3 not too long ago. I just read a review that said it was very similar to Grand Theft Auto in terms of gameplay and now I’m thinking that maybe I don’t want it. I found GTA 3 and 4 so boring that I didn’t get too far into those games - way too much driving around to get to the more exciting parts. I’ve also found the side activities to be pretty repetitive.
Is it likely then that I’d find Red Dead Redemption boring too?

Is there an aggregated list anywhere of games people play on TTS?
EDIT: Looking over the Steam Forums, I see games come and go with DCMA’s and such. So it is hit and miss as to whether or not something is running.
I know Tom loved it and it’s critically acclaimed, but as someone who played a lot of GTA3 and Vice City but couldn’t penetrate the over seriousness of GTA4, I found Red Dead to be more like the latter. Your instincts might be correct. Then again, I might be waving you off an amazing gaming experience…

It’s definitely not a great game throughout. It has its brilliant moments. I think it has a really strong start. And then comes the boredom. And then comes Mexico, which is just terrible. And then you’re back to the United States, and the third act is really good. And I mean, not just good, but it totally made it worth it to wade my way through the boredom and through Mexico. I would still recommend it to everyone, but only if you have the fortitude to get through the poor parts.
