Couldn’t answer if it’s worth it, but it is worth looking at this. http://steamcommunity.com/app/297000/discussions/0/604941528472210055/

Wii U 32GB + Mario Kart 8 for $250:

Amazon
eBay
Toys R Us

Thanks for that link Squee, I was going to reply to Rob and point out it’s just the base game and missing much of what he may remember being great about Heroes 3, but it looks like at least some of that content is being modded in, which is cool. And for $3.75 I suppose you can’t really go wrong.

Cross post from 3DS recommendation thread:

If you want a North American version of the normal-sized New 3DS, you can get the Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer Bundle for $180 + tax at Walmart for Cyber Monday. That’s $40 off MSRP and the same price the the XL is/has been going for over Black Friday weekend.

Even if you couldn’t care less about Animal Crossing, that’s currently the only way to get a “normal” new 3DS. I just hope you like white. And adorable faceplates.

Gamestop has a $199 Hyrule Edition “New” 3DS XL that looks tempting. If Bravely Second or the new Fire Emblem were out, I’d jump on it, but they don’t seem to have a solid release date so I’m still holding off for now.

Thanks for the link. It looks like it adds the stand alone maps from the expansion and the random map feature to the HD edition if you have Heroes 3 complete installed. At this point it doesn’t look like the expansion campaigns are added in.

I traded an old original 3DS for it when Gamestop was giving $100 credit, and it’s a great system. Makes the original 3DS look like junk.

The improved 3D is nice when it works, causes occasional glitches when you move your head too much, and the paint job is very pretty.

At Best Buy – buy one 3DS game, get the second half-off. Includes most 3DS games, up to and including very recent releases such as Super Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Triforce Heroes. And if you missed buying the updated Ocarina of Time when it was first released, Best Buy appears to have a new print run and it’s part of the sale. A real steal if you have the GCU discount, which stacks.

FYI: The Best Buy sale works in store, too, for anyone trying to take advantage of the Discover/Apple Pay cash back deal.

Live near a Fry’s? Need a Wii U? Want two of the best games released for the system thrown in?

Wii U Smash Splat Special Edition Deluxe Set for $250 for in-store pick up only.

EDIT: Walmart has matched it, also in store only.

Bump since my edit is time sensitive.

Talisman Prologue for the PC is free for today only.

Was anyone able to get this to work? Checkout with the free game gives a prompt for payment info, and then the site gives a “order total must not be zero” error.

Perhaps “purchase is necessary to win”?

Jade Empire: Special Edition is free “On the House” at Origin right now:

Finally! For some reason, my version on Steam doesn’t work.

Steam is back to regular prices now, and barely anything is on sale. Time to relax and play some backlog…or Just Cause 3…

Steam today: Magicka 2 - $7.49 - 50% off.

Steam midweek: Plague Inc: Evolved - $10.04 - 33% off. Early access.

Steam weeklong deals. Regular promotions are regular. Daedalic is present, but hey, nothing from Spiderweb Software!
[ul]
[li]The Last Tinker™: City of Colors - $3.99 - 80% off.
[/li][li]Ascent - The Space Game - $15.99 - 20% off.
[/li]
MMO space game. Incidentally, I hate how Steam displays curators on a games page. I can see Brian’s logo, but I can’t click anywhere to see what he said about it. Brian, go bitch at Steam!
[li]Legends of Solitaire: Curse of the Dragons - $6.02 - 33% off.
[/li]
The next Faerie Solitaire?
[li]Worlds of Magic - $17.99 - 55% off. QT3 Thread
[/li][/ul]

Well that’s certainly weird, usually you can click on the logo to see the recommendation, which is here if anyone cares. ;)

Also on Steam : Early Access Retro RPG Terra Incognita - Chapter One is a low low $0.14. Includes trading cards.

The IndieGala Store Sale continues. Some decent deals on offer, including:
[ul]
[li]Ryse : Son of Rome - $10.19 (66%)
[/li][li]Risen : Franchise Pack - $13.99 (80%) - includes everything Risen 1/2/3
[/li][li]Spintires - $7.22 (75%)
[/li][li]Hyperdimension Neptunia 3 Re;Birth - $10.82 (63%)
[/li][li]1C Wargames Collection - $6.68 (80%)
[/li][li]Red Faction Collection - $5.45 (90%)
[/li][li]Pillars of Eternity - $19.84 (55%) - lowest I’ve seen it yet.
[/li][li]Shadow of Mordor GOTY - $14.99 (70%)
[/li][li]Blackguards Franchise - $7.75 (85%)
[/li][li]Mount & Blade Collection - $10.84 (75%)
[/li][li]Grab a FREE Steam key for Particula just for entering your email at the bottom of the store page.
[/li][/ul]

Steam Wednesday: Republique - $12.49 - 50% off.

Nothing ever happens on Wednesdays.
[EDIT] It seems I never check GOG…there’s an 11-day sale just starting there. Ooo look, Rebel Galaxy is $13.39 - 33% off.

Every time I read about this game I confuse it with Republic:The Revolution, think someone’s done a remake and gotten it right this time, and end up disappointed.
