I didn’t think it was worth it for my time. They say it’s short, but when I rented it, I was walking from one place to another so slowly, I just got fed up and quit.
On the other hand, it did seem consistent with the universe. You play as a character who does look like he would walk around really slowly.
Bargain thread on the second page? I know it’s soon going to be retired, but this thread needs more love people.
Week 2 sales on Xbox Live look really good.
Minecraft for $15. That’s the first time I’ve ever seen it on sale for the digital version. Quick! Grab it before they change their minds!
Also tempted by Alien: Isolation for $12.49 and Shadows of Mordor for $10. MGS V: Phantom Pain for $33 actually doesn’t sound too bad either since it’s still a fairly new game.
Meanwhile I’m on the PSN sale I was pretty tempted by N++ for $12 last week, but I let that one pass me by. I just can’t get over the idea that maybe one day it’ll be a free download for PS+ owners. That’s my problem will all the PSN sales actually. Especially on smaller indie games. You just know the odds of it being a PS+ freebie are pretty good if it’s a small indie game on PS4.

Agreed. Especially after being burned a couple of times buying something, and then it going free on PSN before I got a lot of playtime in I’m careful to only buy if I know I’ll be playing immediately.
Rock8man, the Alien Isolation prices are $10 for game + DLC and 7.50 for just the game - at least on Xbox One, maybe 360 is different. I can tell you that because I was weighing whether I wanted the dlc most of the day and finally decided why not just now.
You reminded me that i don’t have the DLC. Tempting but i heard the DLC wasn’t that great. It was an easy no at full price, but $7.50 is tempting.
$7.50.
Ok, I bought it.
Though, it seems a questionable decision now that I think about it. I hate most horror movies. And I hated Amnesia, which seems like it was the inspiration for this game. Still, going in with low expectations, maybe it will surprise me.
It’s pretty cool and freaky with a VR headset, so you may find it gains a new lease on life in a couple of months! Stock up on fresh underwear first.

I love that any % off deals for Canadians now bring the price down to “regular” US price.

Seriously. Though there are some great deals.
EA Sports games are cheap (of course, after I had just bought FIFA for $50).
Disney Infinity 3.0 for $15
I may be spending a bunch on games I’ll likely not play for a while :(
This week’s PSN PS+ sale looks pretty nice too. (Not sure if that link to the store will work, but it works for me). Far Cry 4 for $15. Bloodborne for $28. I personally didn’t like Bloodborne at all, but a lot of people loved it, so it’s worth mentioning.

Bloodborne is $20 CAD physical but I hate physical so I guess I’ll pick up Bloodborne at $28 CAD (I think it’s CAD on PSN…unless it’s USD) along with Tearaway Unfolded.
Was just on sale for $20 on amazon.com.
PSN price is CAD!!! (I had to check my credit card statement; PSN site doesn’t say what currency they’re charging.)
… That means PSN is actually a bargain for Canadians?
BTW Bloodborne Complete edition is $49.99 regular price, which includes The Old Hunters - $19.99 on its own.

So I save $2 then if I buy the PS+ sale one and expansion separately.

Mind if I ask where? I picked Bloodborne up at Walmart a few days ago for $39.99. I haven’t opened it yet though and I’m known as being remarkably cheap, so there’s an opportunity here! :)
I don’t know about Canada, but here in the U.S., Bloodborne has been $20 for a physical copy during Black Friday sales and leading up to Christmas sales too, at Gamestop, Best Buy and Amazon. But this week all those sales seem to be gone after Christmas.
Right…, or alternatively, wait for a sale on the Complete edition itself, which may not happen for another year?
Today’s Daily sale on Xbox Live is Life is Strange for $10 (XB1 version). Great game.
Cross-post from Steam sale thread:
Watch_Dogs complete for $5.44, including season pass and DLCs. Probably a pricing error (base game is on sale for $16.57) so act fast if you’re that way inclined.

Bummer. It’s showing up as $15 for me.
