It looks like a janky Minecraft ripoff. What does this do better/differently?

But it’s only $1.65!

Sang Froid is on sale for $1.50 this week on Steam. Good deal for this game.

I’m back to shill for Steam for one more week, and then I’ll stop. My work is set to overwhelm me shortly.

Steam today: Dungeon Siege III - $3.74 - 75% off.

Steam weeklongs. What caught my eyes this week (besides Sang Froid above):
[ul]
[li]One Way Heroics Plus (DLC) - $5.84 - 10% off.
[/li][indent]The base game is $0.87 - 75% off.[/indent]
[li]Nom Nom Galaxy - $6.99 - 30% off.
[/li][li]Cinders - $11.99 - 40% off.
[/li][indent]I have just begun playing Guided Fate Paradox. I know what “Cinders” is referring to now![/indent]
[li][b]Double Dragon Neon - $1.99 - 80% off.[/b]
[/li][indent]This game was just mentioned in the beat-em-up thread. High recommended there.[/indent]
[li]WAVES - $0.99 - 80% off.
[/li][indent]Still the official twin-stick shooter of KaoFloppy, even after getting Geometry Wars 3 for the Vita.[/indent]
[li]Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken - $2.49 - 75% off.
[/li][li]Ichi - $0.49 - 90% off.
[/li][indent]Real-time but really slow moving light/ball reflection puzzle game.[/indent]
[/ul]

One Way Heroics Plus is so, so great.

I’m pretty sure you need to give 30 days notice to quit posting Steam’s weekly/mid-week deals. You’ll also need to hire and train your replacement.

I second the One Way Heroics Plus love here. Really improved from the original, which was already very good.

Not sure, but I am gonna give it a go today, apparently it deals a lot with automation of stuff. So go watch a youtube video if you want to find out more. :p

Oh and it has an end game goal of building a energy transmitter. And yeah! Its under $2! :D

Here is the 1.19 patch announcement:

Open position for Steam shill.
Requirements:
[ul]
[li]modern web browser[/li][li]internet connection[/li][li]strong willpower to resist buying-installing-playing on-sale games before posting first is mandatory[/li][li]valid Steam account optional[/li][li]bbcode skillz[/li][/ul]

I’m pretty sure KaoFloppy meets these requirements. Let’s ask.

Maybe in exchange for staying, someone can help me with Javascript/REST. I’m drowning in tutorials and reading right now.

Steam today: Meridian4 10-year anniversary sale
[indent]Buy everything they published on Steam for $24.99! (I didn’t check, so it might not be true.)
What’s everything? Dunno, I’ve never heard of most of these games, except Chrome and Chains.[/indent]

Steam mid-week #1: Darkest Dungeon - $13.39 - 33% off. Early Access.
[indent]The famous Darkest Dungeon is finally on sale, while still in Early Access! I’ve heard that there isn’t much else needed to be added?[/indent]

Steam mid-week #2: Risen franchise sale - 80% every game.
[indent]$13.99 gets you all of them and their DLCs.[/indent]

What kind of help do you need? :)

There are some decent games in there (Tank Universal, Obulis, Chains, Space Trader, and Avencast), but they are all ‘mixed’ in the sense that they will give some enjoyment, just not $25 worth. I probably played the most of Space Trader as I am a sucker for that sort of game.

The game is getting some recent negative feedback with some new implementations (eg - the corpse system). Caveat emptor, but it’s still early access so hopefully those things will get worked out in time.

Nice new Humble PC & Android Bundle up today. All games come with Steam key AND android unlock:

$1 min. for Steam keys (and android unlock) to:
[ul]
[li]Crimsonland
[/li][li]Neverending Nightmares
[/li][li]BeatBuddy : Tale of the Guardians
[/li][li]FOTONICA
[/li][/ul]

BTA (currently a paltry $2.70) and add:
[ul]
[li]Tiny Keep
[/li][li]Crowntakers (this game is worth the $2.70 all by itself, it was $3.74 on 75% off Steam Sale just this past weekend)
[/li][li]Monster Loves You!
[/li][li]More games to be added next Tuesday…
[/li][/ul]

Crimsonland is a revamp of the classic arena shooter. Solid game. Works with gamepads I believe.

Yep, highly recommended for just a buck.

Ugh, I mainly need time to learn. It’s not only Javascript but all the libraries and new idioms (prototype-based-inheritance, promises, etc.). Last week I was so dived into this stuff that I skipped all of my postings, so I thought this might happen again in the future. I’ll see if I can manage my time better.

Has anyone played Crimsonland on a touch screen? I bought the Humble Mobile Bundle BTA tier because it was so cheap and there’s some praise for Crowntakers above, but I’m wondering if I’ll even want to bother with any of the other games on Android.

Fotonica and the horror stuff don’t look interesting to me, but I loved Smash TV for Sega Genesis when I was a kid so I’m hoping Crimsonland will be a good couch co-op game.

Recommend BTA for Crowntakers. Its a little grindy but fun combination of RPG-lite and tactical battles. Your level and mercs’ levels get carried over to your next life. I can see it taking about 5 attempts to complete all the stages.
