Came across this fun game on a recommendation from a friend. It’s called Promised Land its from 2012 and its only $ 1.74 on sale until August 31st.

It is listed as a strategy game on the page but its really a resource management type of game, like ANNO but more lighthearted and simple. I lost about 14 hours over the last 3 days to it, just fun and relaxing. :)

If you are bored and are waiting for the September releases give it a shot. Or work on a game from your backlog. :p

I’m pretty interested in the Link if it does what I think it’s supposed to do (essentially, connect to your PC through your wifi/Ethernet network and play your Steam games on your TV if I have it right). This and the controller are supposed to work with Windows 7/8/8.1/10, I presume?

The only thing that gives me some pause is that they recommend a wired connection. Do we know if the Link’s wireless works on the 5 GHz band or on the much more crowded 2.4 GHz one?
If a wired connection is a de facto requirement, the only practical way to go for me would be Ethernet over power line, because I’m sure not ambitious enough to wire CAT6 through my walls.
