Looks like they are all Steam codes too.
I’m one of the truly rare animal that has never played any of the Tom Clancy games. I just might spring $15 on that bundle, 'cos they’ll look nice 'n pretty on my virtual bookshelf.

Lots of bargains today on Steam (I’ll let KaoFloppy report on them), but it seems there’s a hidden one: you can play Abyss Odyssey for free this weekend, and it has a 80% discount as well.

It’s Double Fine day at the Humble store. I added Grim Fandango remastered to my cart, and Massive Chalice, for a total of $12.49. I already own all the other games… well, except Space Base DF9. If I add that, the total price goes to $8.99.
So is Space Base DF9 worth -$3.50?

NO, I would not pay negative money for it. :)
Don’t you do it, don’t you dare.

That Abyss Odyssey bargain is hidden pretty deep! Poor Ace Team, getting buried in the crush of Back-To-School sales.
Humble Store sales are still going on. I’ll merely point out Fez - $1.99, Grey Goo - $19.99, Regency Solitaire - $4.99.
So if I were to get one Wargame game, which one should I get? Red Dragon? I’m mostly thinking singleplayer, so good campaign is a plus.
Yup. I’d get Red Dragon - it also has the ability to actually pause the game (although now that I think back on it, they may have patched that into the others). ALB is still great if you don’t feel compelled to use the ships, and some people really don’t like how the ships were implemented.

Last time I tried Red Dragon, it didn’t have any tutorials. AirLand Battle, on the other hand, has a pretty good tutorial, so keep that in mind.
EDIT: Also, Tom said the single player campaign in AirLand Battle was better than the one in Red Dragon.

Pause functionality was never backpatched into the earlier games. Red Dragon has basically no tutorial (written screens of information don’t count), and Airland Battle has a decent tutorial as long as you don’t try to play online using the tactics it teaches you (which won’t be a problem if you only want to play singleplayer).
European Escalation has the best campaign, but since the game went through a year of balance changes there are certain missions that became exponentially more difficult than they were intended to be as a result of those changes. That can be immensely frustrating. EE’s tutorial was integrated into the first five missions of the campaign, and if you can swap executables in the game directory you can get the original version of the game back to sidestep the balance issues, but that’s a big headache to mess with and might not be worth the time.
The campaigns in ALB is better than the campaigns in RD solely on the basis of ALB’s campaigns having more personality, but I was never a fan of the campaigns in either game. I’m an outlier on that when it comes to the population of Qt3 so I won’t belabor that point any further, but ALB was the stronger campaign game by far.
If you consider getting Red Dragon, you might just want to get the franchise pack so you can get Airland Battle along with it. EE was good for the time but its interface is so archaic I don’t think I could go back anymore. The more recent two are largely interchangeable as far as UI goes.
Yeah, good point about the campaign. I normally just do the skirmish. As for tutorials, I honestly never felt the need for them once I figured out the menu/setup.

Massive Chalice is the only Double Fine game I want. If someone wants to add it to their bundle I’d gladly pay them $4 (80% of $20) for it. Otherwise I’ll just buy it at the non bundle price.
It’s absolutely worth saving $3.50 off the other two games, especially since you can gift it to someone you don’t like and double your fun. ;-)
DEAL ALERT! The Mad Max Bundle at Indiegala.com is on for another 17 hours and is the cheapest I’ve seen the game yet! $27.99 buys you Mad Max plus the pre-order bonus car Ripper DLC, plus the game Memories of a Vagabond (not sure why that is included, Australian made maybe?). $27.99 is even cheaper than GreenManGaming’s 40% off special.

Well I bought DF9 for -$3.50. I promise not to play it, though. (Actually I don’t promise. I’ll probably load it up just to see how bad it is. I’m weak that way).

I’m just going to go ahead and buy it before I forget about it. It’s still a great deal.
