Well I am happy, as I consider AC3 one of the best entries in that series. Got to be sure I add an “in my opinion” here, lest someone go apeshit over me thinking I’m the prophet Mohammed or something.

AC3 had the fantastic Homestead location, sadly Connor was a dull character.

When a new version of Train Simulator is released, older versions are automatically updated (at least on Steam).

Yeah, Connor is dull, but the rest of the characters and game world are awesome.

Same here. Strangely, I actually finished the plot of that one but not that of the far superior AC 4. What does that say about me? :-/

Also, people forget that AC3 was the first appearance of naval warfare and having your own ship. Granted you didn’t have an open ocean to explore but the tight hunting and fighting missions 3 had were fun in their own way.

@tgb123 I played OOTP for years; it is one of my favorite games of all time and the online league experience is phenomenal. Despite all that, I agree with CraigM. If you don’t love numbers-heavy sims and/or aren’t really in to baseball, this probably isn’t for you.

It is indeed OOTP17. The devs themselves had done a sale during the world series, just a month ago, for $20 (the sale price on the Humble store). So it is odd.

Ahaa! But surely “as I consider” is just another way of saying “in my opinion” anyway! ;)

Well, one can never be too sure. Or so I think.

salaam alaikum

GoG is having its winter sale, with free Neverwinter Nights, Diamonds edition, to boot.
Noticed Offworld Trading Company was finally on the store as well, at a pretty nifty discount, in the remote case you don’t own the best game ever already.

See, I would have said “Connor is interesting, but the most boring possible setting for an Assassin’s Creed game is ‘Thrill as you leap around the…leap around the…the…the two story buildings of Colonial America.’”

This was one of the things that kept me away actually. Interesting setting from a historical perspective, but to me AC games are about digital tourism. And colonial Boston just doesn’t have the appeal that Venice or Florence does.

And the hours you have to spend in the forest playing hide and seek and trapping rabbits. After playing AC2 and doing crazy death-from-above double-simultaneous assassinations… I’m trapping rabbits.

Should we be vewwy qwiet?

There’s like one mission that wants you to trap rabbits and it’s a tutorial for hunting, which you never otherwise have to do. I stabbed pretty much every animal I hunted and I never bothered to go out of my way to do that. There’s no real reason to.

Well damn, that makes it an even more ridiculous deal. Train Simulator 2017 is $32 on Steam. OOTP17 is $20 on Steam. We’re getting BOTH (plus the classic RCT Deluxe) for $1? Insane.

Yogscast Jingle Jam 2016 is live on Humble Bundle. Watch the Yogscast crew play a metric poopton of games all month, and if you like, pay $30 for 36 games. 100% of your $30 goes to charity.

The bundle went live today with games like Kholat, Guilty Gear XX, BIT.TRIP Runner2, Psychonauts and Back to Bed, and they will reveal another game each day for the next 30 days.

This is not quite accurate. You don’t get the new TS2017 default routes, just the TS2016 ones. You get the minor interface tweaks / fixes that were made in 2017. It’s hardly a terrible deal regardless as buying the routes individually would cost a reasonable chunk.
