Bargain Thread 2017

Creeper World 3 is on sale for $1.50 on chrono.gg. Never played the CW games but I heard they were pretty good. Just a few hours left for the sale.

Creeper World 3 is an awesome game. Highly recommended.

I assume we will have a new Humble Bundle at 2:00PM EST as well.

I assumed wrong. No new bundle today, just the added games for the existing Humble Indie Bundle 18. Two new games added to the BTA ($7.50) tier : A Story About My Uncle and Neon Drive. Meh.

Gamefly under $20 w/ Free Shipping sale is on.

Rise of the Tomb Raider (XB1), Lego Star Wars TFA, The Division, Xcom 2 (XB1) $18
Quantum Break (probably still has Alan Wake code in it), Far Cry Primal $16
Ratchet & Clank $15
Recore, No Man’s Sky, Doom $13
Deus Ex MD, Homefront TR $10

ORLY?

They’re still making Worms games?

Aw hell, who am I kidding, it’s been years since I played one, but it’s still one of my favorite multiplayer games ever.

Starpoint Gemini 2 is free on Steam …“until May 24th at 10AM Pacific Time! Once you add the game it will remain in your account after the free period.”

…and in the classic Steam way, it looks like those getting it free, play it for a couple of hours then post a negative review.

What the?! They must have posted that at like 5:00 or so EST, cause they usually post them at 2:00, and I even checked again around 3:30 and nothing was there. Sneaky bastards.

It is a very nice bundle for $10 though. I am kind of sad I already own everything I’d want from it.

I was very tempted by a new copy of Metal Gear Solid V for $10 on Microsoft Store. Especially since I can use the MS point currency I already have on Xbox even to get this physical copy of the game with free shipping.

But no, my rule says if I’m not ready to play it, I can’t buy it.

Same thing with the sales on PSN and Xbox Live this week. Lots of good prices. Like Titanfall 2 for $20 on Live. Or Shadows of Mordor for $10 on PSN. But, not ready, can’t go there. Must stick to my own rules. I have to realize I’m going to have less and less time to game. It’s time to think more ruthlessly like our local jaded native son @TimJames.

Bundlefest at BundleStars.com brings not one, not two, but THREE new bundles today:

For today only, the Batman Complete Bundle features Arkham Asylum GOTY, Arkham City GOTY and Arkham Origins with all 5 DLC for only $9.99. That as low as I’ve ever seen the whole collection.

Got $1 in your couch cushions? Spend it on the Dollar Galaxy Bundle and get 25 Indie Steam games. Many include Trading Cards if you’re into that.

Finally, the Monster Slayers : Back from Hell Bundle features 4 Tiers with 17 total games and DLC. For $1 you get the excellent Reverse Crawl and Vertical Drop Heroes HD plus Paranautical Activity Deluxe. Tier 2 adds 9 more games and DLC for $3.49 total. $6.99 unlocks the Monster Slayers game and DLC, and $9.99 unlocks Slain : Back from Hell and Deluxe Edition DLC.

Over at GreenManGaming.com, Fallout 4 and it’s Season Pass are on sale. $16.99 (72%) for Fallout 4, $25.57 (49%) for the Season Pass.

GMG also has an odd bundle they’re calling the Rockstar Anti-Hero Bundle featuring RockStar titles. $21.99 buys you:
Max Payne Complete
LA Noire Complete
Bully Scholarship Edition
GTA IV Complete

Mass Effect : Andromeda and Warhammer 40K : Dawn of War III are both 50% off at $30 each as well.

Damn. That’s fast.

Both games saw $30 briefly as flash sales in the GMG Spring Sale earlier this month, but I was very surprised to see them back at the $30 level again so quickly.

Having played both, I am not terribly astounded.

IndieGala has a new bundle including Tom-recommended Alien Shooter TD at the $3.49 level, along with a bunch of other random games I’ve never heard of: https://www.indiegala.com/hump

Alien Shooter TD is $10 normally, so that’s a good discount just for it.

The Humble Store is offering Plague Inc: Evolved for 50% off, or $7.50 U.S. Here’s the link.

Rising Storm GOTY is free in the Humble Store.

That’s awesome! One of the best shooters in recent memory. If you play it, crank the soundtrack up…it deserves nothing less.

This is probably to build excitement for Rising Storm 2: Vietnam releasing soon.

Well reviewed Horror Adventure Root of Evil : The Tailor is $1.00 as the BundleStars.com Star Deal today.

Steam has Fallout 4 on sale. You can play for FREE all weekend long, then purchase for $19.79 (67%) if you like. Season Pass is $29.99 (40%). I was going to post that you can get it cheaper at GreenManGaming as per my link above, BUT, GMG seems to have adjusted their price to match the Steam price. Hmmm…

The Don’t Starve Franchise is the other Weekend Deal on Steam for the long weekend.

Totally agree. RS2: Vietnam is really good too. I played a couple hours of the beta over the weekend. I think it release next week.
