Yes AoG II was ok. Enjoyed it for a bit, worth it maybe if you like gladiators and its on sell, not the ideal game to play right before BGD.
Now, OMG Battlestar Galactica Deadlock is the best game of the year so far for me! Including over ME: A and XCOM Chosen! This is THE strategy capital ship with fighters game Ive been waiting for since the late 80s! Everything in this game is waaaay better than it should be! And watching Brian’s video discovered you can even wander around your ship…wow.
For the first time I’m actually using the battle replay feature in a game, because it’s so BSG, it’s hard NOT to watch! Hiring Captains, building ships, doing blueprints, I’m just a few missions in and already feel I got 60 worth of game…ok but Ill still apologize for posting here instead of the space game thread though ;)
FYI Brian, same effect on me regarding Oreo and Reese’s, go a few times a year to get that exact Blizzard at DQ LOL
If the game is so good, you should post in the game’s thread, not this thread or the space game thread. It will get lost in both places. If there isn’t a thread for the game yet, it sounds like there should be.
Phew thanks! It was looking like we were gonna have a runaway thread like Giveaways’s ahaikualypse

Pre-ordered AC Origins, so like 19% off total. Not bad for a new Ubi game.

Best deal I could see on the site is that you could get Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for almost $10 using that extra code!

First thought. Awesome! The Golf Club 2 is on sale for $16.
Second though: Crap those reviews are generally bad.

To celebrate the series’ 10th anniversary, CDPR is having a big Witcher sale. $20 for Witcher 3 GOTY, peanuts for the first two games.
Save up to 80% on 2K Games at BundleStars. Includes XCOM 2 for under $20.
Also at Bundlestars, if you enjoy Match-3 style games (and who doesn’t every so often?), there is a great Treasure Bundle full of 10 of these style games for only $1.49.
Steam Deals this week :
Hey does GOG still do that thing where you buy a thing, say for instance Witcher 3, on Steam and they comp you a copy on GOG? Think that’s how I ended up with the first two Witchers on GOG.
Oh yeah! GoG Connect!
Discourse tells me @SlainteMhath just posted that 5 days ago. Well, I’m going to post it again anyway. :P
One thing to keep in mind about GOG Connect is that the offers seem to be time limited.
You have to check back fairly often (I usually check once per week) as often they will place titles in the Connect queue when they are either on sale or when a new title in a Franchise releases. Last week for example it was the Torchlight Games, but if you didn’t nab them at that point, it looks like they’re no longer “connected” today.

Strategy & Tactics: Dark Ages (thread here) is on sale on Steam for 40% off ($9). However, if that’s still too much, you can buy the bundle that includes it and three other games you’ll never play for $7.64. If it’s too little, you can spend an extra 70 cents and get this other bundle which includes it and another game (which is actually 3 games bundled itself), plus 2 DLC.
Steam bundles! They make no sense, but we love them! Or hate them. Whatever.

I was thinking that too, but then I read some of the reviews and discovered that the majority of the negative ones complain about difficulty. Those complaints existed for the first one too, and I liked the difficulty there. I really really doubt it’s more difficult than the first. So, if you liked the first, you’ll probably like the second. I’m still haven’t pulled the trigger yet though.

I haven’t played the first at all. James Allen from Out of Eight seemed to like both and said the second is an improvement of the first.
I kinda wish it also had the 3 click swing method as an option to fall back on. Sometimes real time swing methods in golf games (controller stick or mouse swing) can be a bit janky or tough to feel if your not pulling back straight.
Many years ago I had one of those infrared golf clubs that you’d actually swing which was pretty cool, but didn’t work that great.
I’m worrying that the “difficulty” here is related to messed up physics in the ground/short game. I mean, I can deal with fast greens, slow greens, whatever. But…if there’s engine problems that produce weirdly inconsistent results when the ball impacts the green, that’s something else entirely. And that seems to be the issue explained by many current owners.
Y’all have 5 days to sell me on this. I want it so much to be good.
