I made the mistake of looking in the lowest price specials. Oh my god, there’s so much garbage. I gave up at page #61, which is still at 50 cents.
Pinball lovers - Spooky table for Zaccaria pinball.
Cheap games I’d recommend: Delve Deeper, Out There Somewhere. Most of the many Rpg Maker games priced that low are …not good. People who like those might be interested in World’s Dawn (60% off, ~4$) which is often compared to Stardew Valley, with reviews saying worse farming but better writing.
Tempted to grab Obduction off Steam. $15. It’s the game from the makers of Myst. I hear it’s amazing in VR.
This is starting to be a problem. I wonder if the PC spaces and mobile spaces (both of which are getting hammered with waves of pure shit, that, back in the 90’s, would have been collected in those $3 “500 million games on one CD” specials you found in Computer City) are going to get hit with a 1982-style videogame collapse. God, I hope so.
I had no idea they had been releasing new tables, good catch!

And if it was 20 years ago you’d be thrilled to be getting something that wasn’t shovelware for $20 instead of the standard $50-$60 price tag that graced all new releases, not just a handful of AAA titles.
This is the only industry I know of where prices have come down substantially over 20 or 30 years ago, and people still aren’t happy.
Amazing.
The front end prices have come down. Back in the day, when I laid down $80 at Software Etc. for Ultima VI, I got the whole game.
Hah, I’d nearly forgotten about those. It’s incredible that someone found it worth the production costs.
29 out of 46 titles in my wishlist are on sale. I have very few “spooky” theme games in my wishlist, so yeah, lots more stuff on sale than just what’s listed at the Halloween page.
Here’s something I can’t figure out. Less than 90 days ago I had a wishlist that was around 30 games. In those 90 days I’ve purchased bundles and games on sale that knocked at least a half dozen games OFF my wishlist. Yet today the wishlist stands at 46 games…WHAT IS HAPPENING!?!
Fucking wishlists, how do they work?! ;-)
11 of 18 are on sale in my Wishlist and maybe like one or two of them even remotely qualifies for Halloween. Notable is that Cryptark is $5.24. Also, Steel Division is $19.99.
Oh, the PC is still a much better deal than any console, and of course it’s true that prices have gone down overall. But the fact remains that big holiday sales on Steam always used to break new ground in savings. Now, it’s just a lot of previous sales going on at the same time.
Yes, let the games flow through him. Young SlainteMhath will join us …

But did you ever really get the etc?
Holy crap Dan, your wishlist is only a couple hundred games less than my entire Steam library!
I’m just going to back slowly towards the door now…
Speaking of my wishlist, it informs me that cute animal-themed RTS game Tooth & Tail is on sale for $14.99 (25%). Oddly, if you already own Monaco (and who doesn’t?), you can get the “bundle” discount of 33% and only pay $13.49 for Tooth and Tail. That’s pretty good for a game just released 6 weeks ago!
Also from my wishlist:
Darkest Dungeon is 60% off at $9.99
Heroes of a Broken Land is 75% off at $3.74
Technomancer is 70% off at $8.99
Serpent in the Staglands is 75% off at $5.99
Bastard Bonds is 66% off at $5.43
Fall of the Dungeon Guardians is 60% off at $7.99
I bought the Five Nights at Freddy’s games! Ha ha ha I kill me.
Awww, that wishlist is only three digits. Adorable.
In my defense, I have trimmed it down a bit from its prior tally ;)
Wait, what’s the point of having a wishlist more than a thousand game long? That’s like ten years’ worth of games.
IT’s more price tracking for things I have a basic interest in that might never buy or get in a bundle.
Yeah I stick things on there that I may want to look at in the future. For me, the wishlist isn’t even stuff I intend to or even want to buy, necessarily.
