Steam has Midweek Madness deals on:

Crosby?

Yes…

iffy on this game, but at this price and all the praise ive heard here, i guess i cant say no?

If you think of it as “G.I. Joe the Video Game” instead of “Saints Row 5,” it’s a really good game.

How is Has Been Heroes? Reviews are all over the place.

I enjoyed it a ton, but it’s a weird game. Tom did a review, and I think his was spot on.

Everyone needs to play Pony Island.

Pony Island is a ridiculous game about playing a simple game that doesn’t let you win. I think. I watched 30min before deciding to play it myself, but haven’t gotten around to it.

I couldn’t stand Pony Island. Not enough game, too much pretension. But don’t use me as a opinion-maker, I’m weird.

Has-been Heroes requires a huge time investment to learn and get going, but then it becomes a really cool and not too demanding roguelike. I am over 30 hours in and the only thing preventing me to play it more is wrist pain issues.

Perfect summary. Should be almost a game genre, nowadays.
Edit: that’s not related to Has-been Heroes, obviously!

Crusader Kings II is FREE on Steam for a limited time. Install now, own forever!

Looks like Ultima Online has gone “free to play”. Sorta.

3030 Deathwar Redux is the daily at chrono.gg, for a bit less than 10 bucks.
The game has been intriguing me for a long time, although I am unsure about the “point&click” phase of play.

Huh?

It’s a great game. Totally great.

Is it worth playing without any of the DLC?

I wouldn’t know-- I tried to get into CKII a couple of times but found it impenetrable.

That said, I believe the general consensus is that there are no “essential” DLCs in the sense of fixing or adding stuff to the base game which would otherwise feel incomplete or unenjoyable.

Thank you: I was anxious it was something more along the lines of those Startrek DOS games (don’t hate me, but I have issues with adventure games). Grabbed!
