I missed that one entirely so yeah, that would be fantastic. I don’t understand why we can’t seem to get any good new ones, though.
Was Forza Horizon 3 too “simmy” for you? Or is it buying things on the Windows Game Store that’s the problem?
I don’t have Win 10, so haven’t been able to try that one.
FOR HONOR is free on STEAM , its the lowest level STARTER edition.
Middle Earth: Shadow of War’s Expansion Pass is on sale for 66% off on GamersGate for 3 days and change, bringing it down from the ridiculous $39.99 price to the much more reasonable $13.60. (BTW I love the old-fashioned flippy digital display on the countdown clock, like clock radios used to have before they switched to LEDs. I wonder how many twenty and thirty-somethings have even seen that IRL)

Reminder: the 20% Prime pre-order discount goes away next Tuesday the 28th. Amazon will accept pre-orders for games without set release dates, so you can lock in a good price for future games.
Fanatical got an Order of Battle bundle featuring some of the pacific theater packs.

If that is a concern, be advised the dlcs come in two keys: one for the Rising Sun expansion, another one for the two others.
Thanks for this! Grabbed it at such a bargain.

Sadly, it’s not universal. There’s a decent list of eligible titles in this article. One day left!

I used to preorder tons of physical special editions through Amazon. I stopped after they made it not applicable collectors edtiions.
All for the better I say, makes it easier to shop at Amazon less, and I got burned by preordering some less-than-spectacular titles anyways (Trails of Cold Steel…).
Screw them. I’m buying games from Best Buy with my expiring Gamer’s Club Unlocked until the end of next year and I will be ditching Prime in 2019 when my payment is due. They’ve really not offered me any value after they started picking and choosing what was eligible and then making it so I HAD to pre-order.
Once we’re at the point where there are no discounts, I’m pretty sure I’ll buy less games. That seems to be where everything is heading so that the in-store MSRP matches their digital store price and then no one gets a discount anymore.

I know I will. It was fun while it lasted, but I’ll go back to what I was doing before – waiting and picking stuff up when it’s used or on sale for $20 or so. It’s not like stuff from EA, Ubi, Square Enix, or WB holds its MSRP for more than 4 or 5 months anymore (there’s a reason I listed 2 1st party Nintendo games), and GameFly sells used discs with pristine packaging.

Thankfully, GreenManGaming is still giving me decent discounts on PC pre-orders (for the most part).

Add me to the “buying less games” crowd. As it stands I’ve got enough games to probably last until I die so it’s not like I need to buy anything on day 1. And I’m much less likely to take a flier on a game that’s $60 than one that’s $48 (or $38 if it was one of Best Buy’s $10 reward bonus preorders).
I think in terms of quantity of games bought, it’s been going steadily upward the last few years just because they’re so cheap with all the Steam sales and humble bundles and such. Of course my time and ability to play those games has not increased, but it’s so hard to pass up a deal!
Yep, patient gaming is best, lower prices and more patches by the time you are ready to play a given game. :)
I’m amazed a 20 percent discount is such a make or break thing for you all. I absolutely would appreciate that kind of saving on a game I know I want to own at launch anyway, but if I don’t care to pay $60 for something, $48 isn’t any better really.
