I’ve had that game on my Wishlist forever. I almost bought it at least ten separate times. As always, it pays to wait. Looking forward to some free Warhammer.

Playing games is hardly going to help with school work now, is it? They are just lazy coming up with this excuse for a sale!
Fanatical’s Featured Deal today is Tales from Candlekeep : Tomb of Annihilation - Complete Edition for $13.19 (60%). That’s a historic low for the digital D&D boardgame and all it’s DLC.
HOG fans can enjoy a new Artifex Mundi Bundle at IndieGala. $4.49 for 10 Steam keys to games in the Enigmatis series, Endless Fables series, and more.
Also at IndieGala, the Blackguards Franchise Bundle contains Blackguards I, Untold Legends DLC and Blackguards 2 for only $2.99 (85%). That’s a great deal on a lot of tactical RPG goodness.
Don’t forget to swing by the Humble Store Summer Sale and collect your stamp for the day to redeem for free games. While you are there check out the publisher sales on Paradox, SEGA and 2K Games titles.
Over on Steam, the next game in the Heretic Kingdoms ARPG series, Shadows Awakening released today. $39.99 with no release discount, but I was very surprised to see it was already in my Steam library. Turns out, if you own the previous game, Shadows : Heretic Kingdoms, you will receive Shadows : Awakening for FREE.
Apparently this is because Kalypso originally sold Shadows : Heretic Kingdoms as a Book One of two, and promised the second Book as an update that never materialized. Shadows : Awakening is basically a reworking of Book I and new content (Book II) within an all new engine, creating an entirely new game. I’ve always like Kalypso as a developer and publisher, but this wins them an all new level of respect from me. Most other publishers would have tried to throw a 50% discount or similar offer to previous owners…FREE is a completely unexpected and very welcome gift to long time fans.
@ Humble Store , the Darkside Detective is 40% off + 10% for monthly subscribers.

GOG Back to School sale. New flash deals every hour.
New games on connect.gog.com too, including King of Dragon Pass, which features the original version as an extra (windows only).
Kult: Heretic Kingdoms was fantastic. Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms was… well, I couldn’t get into it at all, and it was clunky as hell. However, lots of respect to them for doing this, as one reason I hadn’t tried harder with Shadows was the knowledge the story wasn’t going to be finished (and the aforementioned clunkiness). They have apparently solved both at once! Let’s find out…

Railway Empires is on sale on Humble Bundle for $30.
Thanks for the heads up on the GoG sale.
I got Starflight 1+2 for 0.89, and Lands of Lore 1+2 for 0.89, and Homeworld Cataclysm (under it’s new name) for $5.
It feels like I just paid a fortune for Homeworld Cataclysm compared to the other games I bought, but I’ve been wanting to check out that game for a long time.
Grabbed Lands of Lore as well (I already had the Starflight pack ;)
The EA deals are really good.
Heh. I don’t even know if Lands of Lore is even any good. I just remember watching their trailer for Lands of Lore a LOT when I booted up one of the EA games I used to play in the 90s. I think it was C&C: Red Alert.
I had played it a fair bit (probably at least 2 hours!) at a friend’s way back when, and I remembered it being very accessible. I just tried it a bit again, and indeed it is. It’s basically Grimrock, with better graphics* and easier puzzles!
*Experience may vary.
Well this is an interesting bundle:
- Oxenfree for $1 is a ridiculous deal.
- If you don’t already own them, Wasteland 2 and Final Station for >$8 is also an amazing bargain.
- Then Torment : Tides of Numenera and Shadow Tactics : Blades of the Shogun are solid adds at the $15 ($13 for subscribers) tier.

First time in a while where I own all the games listed already. Interesting they mix development assets and games here though.

That is very solid. Unfortunately I have all the well known games from that one.
There is a game called Starfighter Neon on my wish list on Steam. No doubt thanks to a recommendation from a Qt3 member. It looks like it’s a twin stick shooter. It’s on sale for $0.59 (down from $0.99) so I bought it.
I might get that bundle on the $1 tier for Aer Memories of Old.
Oh, also, one of the best games of the year is on sale.
