@Gendal @Nesrie @lordkosc
It does work on Steam Link, but, there is a pretty big issue in that Steam limits non-Steam games to 30FPS instead of 60FPS. 30FPS is noticeable, and looks ok only for games that are running high frame rates on the host PC, like over 90 FPS. When my PC dipped even into the 50s there were noticeable visual tearing (not sure if that’s the right term).
There can also be controller issues such as when text entry pops up. Minor, but might require me to get up and walk upstairs to the PC, so annoying.

Well I didn’t know that. My guess is a game like Thea 2 isn’t going to be an issue with that, and they don’t use controllers. It’s usually a week laptop and a desire to play from the couch or something instead of a desk.

One Finger Death Punch 2 is $1.70 at GMG:
I paid something similar for the first and got much more than I paid for out of it, and I expect the same will be true of this one.
I must be special, because it shows up as only $1.64 for me!

I got that price once I logged in, but the stated price is $1.70.
Fanatical has launched a new Expedition Bundle with 5 titles for $2.99.
- Dead Age
- Meridian : New World
- Meridian : Squad 22
- Trulon : The Shadow Engine
- Bunker Constructor
Sure they’re not instant classics, but Dead Age and the two Meridian RTS games are worth $1 each. I know nothing about Trulon or Bunker Constructor.
It’s Halloween Sale time apparently. Several sites doing deals for the upcoming holiday.
-
Fanatical’s Scream Sale offers an extra 6.66% off sale prices with code SCREAM666.
-
GreenManGaming’s Trick or Treat Sale has both scary and not-so-scary games on sale, and any purchase nets you a voucher code used to spin the Hallowheel of Mystery, which could win you a free game (gotta get rid of those Bad Rats! keys somehow…).
- Humble Store has a Week of the Undead Sale with horror and other titles up to 80% off (monthly subscribers get an additional discount)
GMG has a historic low (~$13) on @tomchick favorite A Hat in Time:
I think that may have finally hit my “why-the-hell-not” threshold.
I already have AI War 2. :) Or do you mean “because your time is already occupied?” Because unfortunately that’s never been a reason not to buy a game…
Yes I have been buying games to play them this year, and you just made me notice it.
what the hell happened? It’s like losing weight without paying attention!
Oh dear, hopefully I haven’t broken the spell. Much respect!
Dead rising 3 is on sale right now for $8.99.
Is this worth it? I might enjoy a more action oriented game for the weekend so I can shut my brain off.
I enjoyed it a lot for a while. But like the original Dead Rising, eventually it got too tough for me. I kept dying and restarting and finally quit. And then I read a review by @tomchick that said the game was too easy, which only increased my humiliation.

I got my key and extended my trial by 20 days (not the full month as it was an Xbox + PC pass I think) at 5PM MST.
Sounds like more than $4 worth of work to me… ;)
So, I tried just now (9:20 PM EST) and it worked. Got 1 month free. Plus, it seems like a second month for signing up for auto renewal.
I should now have enough time to beat a game.
Thanks again!
HOB is showing up as $8 on GMG.
