Thanks for the update. I had the same thing happen to me last time (could not assign a key), so I figured I was just out of luck. But after seeing your follow-up post I tried it again and got my extra 20 days. This time they didn’t offer me an extra month for turning on recurring billing. I think they’re finally on to me about that part. :P

What was this post? D:

Xbox redemption just worked for me, after not working this morning. And so did turning off recurring billing before entering my code.

I am now all set through the middle of January of 2020!

Me saying “sold!” then looking at my backlog and thinking better of it.

So, yawn, I suppose someone should point out that the Steam Halloween sale has started.

Oh, thanks for the reminder. I finally picked up Golden Krone Hotel for $2.50.

Must be the day for starting Halloween sales then, GOG’s Halloween sale started today as well.

Fanatical Star Deal today is hardcore sandbox survival RPG Life is Feudal : Your Own for a historic low (by itself, it’s been bundled in the past) of $2.99 (85%).

New titles have been added to Fanatical’s Horror Pick-and-Mix. 3 games for $2.49, 5 for $3.49 or 10 for $5.99. There are enough decent titles in the mix to make a 3 or 5 game bundle worth your while.

Continuing the Halloween theme, the new Cursed Bundle at Fanatical contains 9 HOG/P&C titles for only $2.49, some of which are new to bundles.

As mentioned above, GOG has launched their Halloween Sale. Dozens of titles on sale up to 90% off including : the Witcher Franchise, Sunless Sea and Sunless Skies, the Amnesia games, Moonlighter, Children of Morta, Sherlock Holmes titles, Mount and Blade titles, DOOM, Quake, the Kingdom titles, Diablo, Cultist Simulator, Grim Dawn and DLC, plus tons more.

GOG also has a Paradox Publisher’s Sale happening with up to 80% off if you prefer your PAradox titles DRM free.

GreenManGaming has XCOM 2 : War of the Chosen for a near historic low $10.82.

IndieGala has State of Decay : Year One Survival Edition for $7.49 (75%) as part of their Halloween Scratchy Sale which offers a free random mystery game with every purchase (Bad Rats!).

IndieGala also has a new Fantastic Monsters Bundle live for $2.99 which includes 13 games that seem to be a mix of HOG adventures and time/task management games (the 12 Labors of Hercules series).

I can’t report any Steam deals right now as the site seems to have gone down or is very slow to respond. I suppose that can only mean the Steam Halloween Sale has begun.

One of Brian’s darlings, ADIO Amigos, is at a pretty crazy discount.

PC only though, dang it!

What kind of game is it?

It looked like lunar lander expanded in the way of that other arcade game whose name I forgot. It seems a bit demanding on the hardware side (if you are running potatoes that is).

I don’t think so. It’s pretty potato-worthy. To me, this is a good game to play with your kids. No violence, the main verb is discovery, great local multiplayer, and it develops a good feel for Newtonian physics.

Oh Gosh Adios Amigos is SO GREAT, especially with friends. Use something like Pulsar to play it online. SO FUN.

Per ITAD, here are some terrifying games (for some definitions of terrifying) that are on sale:

  • Aliens: Colonial Marines Collection: $5.99 on Fanatical – they fixed the typo in the source code, which fixed the alien AI, and now it’s not too bad.
  • Space Beast Terror Fright: $8.54 on Steam (an historic low–still in Early Access but pretty feature complete)
  • Zombie Army Trilogy: $8.99 on Steam (some say that the first non-trilogy version of the game looks better than the one included here-- that one and its sequel are still available and also on sale).

I purchased the Cursed Bundle from Fanatical and got 2 free keys. They were:

I got one spin from Greenman gaming which qualified me for a free game code. However, when I try to redeem it on Steam all it says is that I already own the game. Any way I can tell what game is associated with the code?

If you’re redeeming in client, clicking next should try to install the game.

Paging @DaveLong. You’re the only advocate this board has for Sonic Mania.

It’s on sale on Xbox this week for $12. Is it worth checking out for someone who missed out on the whole Sonic series? Is it the game where I can finally see what Sonic is all about in its best form? Or is it only for Sonic fans who already fans?

It’s basically a best of Sonic in the form of a new game. Totally worth playing.

I have a 60% off coupon for Door Kickers on Steam. It seems stackable with the current deal, which would make this wonderful little game cost around 2 or 3 $.
