Looks like they fixed it yesterday evening, so the Steam Halloween Sale 2019 is officially running. No meta-event on Steam itself, but I do like that they’ve highlighted the dozens of in-game Halloween updates and events happening across both horror and non-horror titles. Of course, discounts abound and at least three quarters of your wishlist is likely on sale through the weekend.
Deadly days, which Tom streamed a bit the other day, is 7,19€ on the unfortunately named Gamersgate store. It’s cheaper than the current Steam deal. Deals last 24 hours.

I vaguely remember Arkania. I think I lasted 15-min of game time before my party wiped and I gave up.
If you managed to get your party wiped, it means you figured the interface, which is quite an awesome feat!

There are a lot of games on sale right now, of course, but if anyone is interested I picked this thing up:
And it really strikes me so far as the For Want of a Nail version of King of Dragon Pass. You should be very tolerant, however, of opacity if you want to take a poke at it. Also an encyclopedic knowledge of the history and politics of former Soviet republics couldn’t hurt.
Oh thanks, I had totally forgotten about that game!
Seeing as they existed long before Gamergate, it’s more that the harassment campaign was unfortunately named.
I remember creating a party in the 1st Realms of Arkania game, and then going to lunch with my mom and aunt for a few hours. I didn’t pause the game… and when I came back, my party had starved to death.
That’s all I remember about the game!
Plus “portal for gamers” makes a lot more sense for a storefront than a mob of feral bigots. I always feel bad for poor Gamersgate, first screwed over by their founders (I’ve never entirely forgiven Paradox for abandoning their own storefront to go all-in on Steam, to say nothing of now trying to go all-in on their own storefront again), then screwed over by a random twist of internet naming.

It’s not internet naming; ever since Watergate practically every controversial happening in America has been suffixed by “-gate”.
Fair point, but it’s no less idiotic.
It also means that you overcame decision paralysis and managed to create 6 characters, possibly the toughest part of the game.

Now you can do it more easily with Steam Remote Play Together (requires beta steam for now).
Fanatical Star Deal today is Civilization VI Platinum Edition for $39.99 (66%). Platinum has both the expansions (Rise & Fall and Gathering Storm) plus 6 additional civilization/scenario packs. Even on sale that’s close to $100 worth of stuff, so $40 is a bargain.
Fanatical also has a new Hidden Object Pick and Mix Bundle. Pick from 24 feral HOGs at 5 for $1.99, 10 for $2.99 or 15 for $3.99.
Day fo the Devs Bundle at Humble seems a little lackluster compared to years past.
- $1 for Art Sqool and Haunted Island : A Frog Detective Game
- BTA ($4.51) and receive Battle Chef Brigade and Flipping Death
- Pay $9 and unlock Minit and ToeJam and Earl : Back in the Groove along with a free VIP ticket should you happen to be in SF during the event.

Awesome, a free DLC for a game I got for free like six years ago and never played!
Don’t get me wrong, I got the free DLC. Gamecount++. It’s a sickness.
