Since you brought it up, do you know if you can use the coupon on DLC, for instance the season pass for Anno 1800? If so I’ll be there in a heartbeat

It says it’s “not valid for pre-orders, gear, or virtual currency, and is not stackable with other coupons”. No mention of DLC, so as far as I can tell it should work. And I guess one nice thing about Uplay over Epic is that the discount is off your cart as a whole, so you can combine multiple items rather than having to find one at the exact right price.

The last $14 coupon worked on DLC (WONY in my case)

I finally download Hyperscape. It starts with an intro movie where I have no idea what’s going on. The game itself starts and looks terrible, and has huge frame rate dips in the tutorial area for no apparent reason. Anyway, I couldn’t get out there fast enough. Phew. And then I clicked on request coupon. I wonder where the coupon will show in the Ubisoft Connect interface? Unlike Epic, they don’t really have a page where you can view your coupons.

Yet.

They mail it to you.

Yeah I just tried a round of Hyper Scape too. The TRON-like setting and map is promising but matchmaking still took 5+ minutes to put together a solo match. Player count must be dying already. It was crowded and full of people during open beta.

Who knew that fights that always ended with shooting postage stamps in the sky would be boring?

I did.

I bought Homeworld: Cataclysm Emergence when it was $2 on GOG but forgot to remove the alert from gg.deals, which just told me it was now one American dollar, and I’m passing the savings on to yooooouuuu!!!

Is it worth to put another game on my backlog though? It is a great deal though…

Damn, I already bought it and forgot about it when it was more expensive.

Kingdoms of Amalur: The Re-reckoning (chuckle) is $19.99 for Xbox at Gamestop currently.

Ubisoft is giving away Trials Rising today:

I forgot to check in on Ubisoft yesterday. Did I miss anything good yesterday?

City Skylines free on Epic today.

Huntdown is on sale for 50% off on Xbox and Epic Store (maybe others too?) This is one of my favorite games this year and is well worth it if you like 16bit games like Revenge of Shinobi, Metal Slug, Rolling Thunder or Elevator Action Returns. It’s a very polished game from the mechanics, to art, to sound and music. It also pays homage to the cult b movies of the late 70s and 80s.

Nope. I did too, couple cosmetics in Watch_Dogs.

Thank you. This has been driving me nuts, because I’ve only caught two games so far (Trials and the Star Fox-like) and I thought I must be missing things, but I gather they’re not actually giving away a game each day.

Epic is doing the $10 coupons thing again, and if you add Cities: Skylines to your library they give you a coupon to kickstart the whole thing. Oh ho, I thought, Mortal Shell for $11! And just as I was about to click buy, another thought: but…what if they end up giving it away during the next couple weeks?

So this whole “mystery game” thing might be working against them.

Mortal Shell for $11 is a good find!

The coupon lasts longer than the 15 days of giveaways, so we can always until after 15 days to get it.
