That was not my issue, I needed the Live ID software to get GFWL to run. I found a hotfix needed for my system, and I think I have it ok now.

Game tells me it is saving, I need to see tomorrow if they load correctly…

How is it for someone who liked what he played of AA, really likes open-world games, but doesn’t like monotonous missions?

And I have my saves! Yay!!!

Awesome.

Ok. Now go revive the GfWL sucks thread and flame it up :) :)

I’m trying to think of anything that wasn’t better in AC, and I’m coming up short. The grapple and glide fix my only complaint from AA, which was having to run back and forth through the big tunnels.

Too busy trying to figure out how to fight using Catwoman.

And just when I was getting a little better at using Batman too…

Start With Caltrops.

The one thing that comes to mind is that the bad guys aren’t shouting “bitch” every 15 seconds.

But yeah as far as game mechanics Arkham city is better. Asylum had a slightly more interesting claustrophobic feel though.

Can’t throw them accurately enough to be useful.

It’s funny this thread popped up, I just restarted my game after getting a 360 controller for the PC, and holy shit this is good stuff.

How well does it control with m&k?

It is driving me crazy. Biggest problem is overreliance on Left Control + Space/left mouse/whatever for a whole bunch of stuff, usually while being attacked. Trying to hit this combo while moving leaves me a hand short everytime. As a matter of fact the next time I boot up, I’m going to see if there is any way to remap stuff to Right Ctrl. I use arrow key movement and this might get stuff closer together for me…

Dude, trust me here. I finished Arkham Asylum and City using keyboard and mouse. Then I got the xbox-for-windows controller, played it for 2 minutes, and immediately began beating myself on the head because it made the game 5389185108 times better. Spend the $30 on the Microsoft USB Xbox controller, you won’t regret it even a little bit.

I never got far with the m+k, felt way too finicky. Feels just right with a controller. hugs 360 controller

Yes, this too. The 360 controller is becoming one of the best gaming investments I’ve made in years.

Awesome. I actually prefer M+K controls, I find it easier to target dudes in big scrums, and I can use one key to do what I need to use, like, three buttons on the controller. (left bumper+right trigger+y!)

I preferred the slower introduction of gadgets and stuff in asylum. I suck at remembering what to press for different stuff so getting the goodies at a slower pace helps me.

Thanks! Sorry it took so long to reply, no internet for a couple of days… I’ll snag AC ASAP.

What is your remapping system?

Because with the defaults almost nothing uses one key.
