I recently pulled out my own sword that prompted this thread and re-oiled it up and made sure it wasn’t getting any flaws or issues and it looks good so far, even though I barely used it last summer. Quality steel is pretty resilient, seems like. But if this is your first sword, make sure you look up some tips on how to properly story and maintain it.
