Battlefield 3 is one of the best multiplayer shooters out there right now, but it’s like no one wants to fucking play it.

That fact that it’s restricted to Origin isn’t helping.

It isn’t helping, but it’s not the main cause. The main cause is the custom servers. Sometimes being open and in the hands of the community is not a good feature. ¬¬

Battlelog lets you set custom filters, including limiting ticket count to 100%.

If I do a search for:

-100% ticket count
-Ranked
-Punkbuster
-not Premium-exclusive
-All expansions included
-1-5 slots free (indicating the server isn’t empty)
-Any map or mode

I see a large number of open servers to choose from.

http://www.bf3stats.com/ is also still showing the player counts as high as they’ve ever been since launch.

The main reason I stopped playing was the instant respawn vehicles and low death timer. It’s just not battlefield if the same guy is popping up five times before you can cap a point.

You can use the advanced filters to find plenty of servers with high vehicle and death respawn times.

So I grabbed the Premium version finally when it dropped on Amazon.

I have the same problem I had in every other BF, I see a guy, I hit him with four or five rounds, he turns and shoots me through the eye. Really? Still? I don’t know if it’s just me sucking or what.

And what’s with every server I join having 90-minute long battles? That’s really not great fun. Well, sometimes it is. And I’ll never figure out how I can hide in a building corner and get knifed from behind.

First try to filter matches (advance filter) that does not go above 100% ticket count.

Second when you join a match try to find a squad that has a few members and is well varied. You don’t want to join a squad with a lone sniper.

Third stick to the squad like glue. Help them out in any way you can.

Fourth is not fire 4-5 rounds but twice, you may believe you hit it with all of them, but usually half miss because the recoil and/or lag.

For me it’s the other way around. Walking two steps, hearing a weapon shot, and dying instantly without time to react, like crouch, or sprint or turn around is SEVERAL TIMES more frustrating than dying because the enemy had a better aim/reflexes than me.
