If you’re good with this gun, you might consider taking an assault rifle with dot/holo sight, foregrip, and laser sight. That gives you great hip accuracy like the PP-2000, but you can still kill enemies at greater distances when you aim down the sight. I love it, at least for TDM. (Thanks for the suggestion, Turin!)

The only concern is that by not taking the silencer, you’re making yourself vulnerable on the minimap. Decide whether you maneuver enough to make that work. You’ll have to be the aggressor.

Yea I think you’re right. I’m working on unlocking rdot/holo for the AEK now.
But I swapped silencer for extended mags for the pp2000. Extended is just to useful for that gun.

On a side note, why do I see snipers with lasers attached? The laser only adds hip accuracy, right? But it is also a giveaway when you’re aiming at someone. I’ve been able to avoid sniper death a number of times due to the laser. Just seems like a dumb attachment for bolt action rifles.

The reload and the recoil make the FAMAS an extremely lethal but very unforgiving weapon. I like it a lot, but if you’re struggling I would very much recommend the F2000 or the M416 (probably the former).

As for the grenade launcher assignment, don’t worry about going underslung, just take it instead of a medkit for one round of Metro and you’re golden. I literally got seven kills with one grenade at one point.

Haven’t unlocked the F2000 yet. And I’m having issues with the M416. Not really sure why, but I seem to lose most 1on1 with that gun. I actually like the FAMAS, except for the reload. Very lethal at close range, but as you note, the recoil makes longer range more difficult (for me at least).
I think, as someone noted, that my problem is not using burst fire.

The foregrip is op to the point of being a no-brainer. I put holo, foregrip and barrel/silencer on pretty much every gun. Meaningful accessory choices would be great, but the accessory interface is so poor the last thing I want to do is have to change them all the time. If they want people to adjust their accessories to the situation they need to make it easier to do so quickly.

I don’t see the point of it, besides not being easily seen, but you still show up on the map i think?

Also from what i noticed, if you use a laser sigh on a sniper rifle at long ranges it seems to point at the direcion the bullet is going to land, so you can use it to aim even if you are scoped.

I have not tried SP yet but holy balls co-op sucks. The missions are so boring and predicable not to mention buggy. We tried playing through and it crashed two times. The scripted events are all misplaced and random. At the end of the first missions it tells you to extract with a helicopter and then out of nowhere explosions everywhere… You don’t even see or hear the shells its just random explosions on the streets that for some reason never hit you. Hate to say it but CoD kicks BF’s ass on this front.

No surprise there. The SP is terrible so it stands to reason that the co-op is just as bad.

They did a great job buffing Javelin and SOFLAM. I’m actually seeing them used effectively now, and getting a Javelin lock finally means something (and will almost always hit the damn target).
