Wow, I wanted to believe, but the single player campaign in this sucks. Pity, as it looks expensive.

  1. The story is a jumble of stuff I don’t care about told from the most boring cutscenes ever. Spend millions on your physics engine then have it told from inside an interrogation room. I skipped them all so have no idea why we are invading Iran.

  2. Way to spend all that money on realistic lighting and set the battles at night, then put blue triangles and “follow” giant moving HUD objectives everywhere. It ruins immersion and makes me not care at all about the environments.

  3. Quick-press events everywhere? Really? I am official done with quick-press events.

  4. Where is this vaunted Snowblind 2.0 engine? Feels like they could have saved a lot of money and dev time to me. Why make all this destructibility and then not let us destroy anything? All the destruction so far feels very scripted (and I’m sure is).

The whole thing feels like the world’s worst corridor shooter. The campaign of Bad Company and Bad Company 2 was a million times better. It feels like they were trying to mimic the Modern Warfare series. Why do that? It’s not their strength and not what differentiates them in a crowded market.

Single player fail. The designer of it needs to be let go. Terrible.

The one good mission so far was the F-18 one. But even that was “press this button”…“now press this button”.

There might be more, but I’m done with it. Time to put back in the multiplayer disc and use the singleplayer one as a coaster.

I just finally slogged my way through the end of the single-player campaign, and it is fucking terrible.

Aside from the stupid plot and the desire to punch damn near everyone, it was a torturous affair that pisses you off left and right. You spend the entire game shooting shit, but then you get to these “interactive” cutscenes with the quick press events that go against everything the game’s been training you to do. Oh, I’ve been using LMB to kill hundreds of guys, and now it tries to trick you by having to hit buttons you rarely hit, or else you die.

I never want to play that again, and I usually play most FPS campaigns several times. Crysises? Yup. Modern Warfares? Yup. Not this. Never again.

I felt nothing during the single player campaign. Very little rage.

Then I played co-op with random pubs.

Since it’s a separate disc, I wonder if a game store would buy it in as a trade in.

EA has sold 8 million of units, 12 millions already shipped. (spanish link)

Whoah, what happened to this thread? Everything between November 14 to November 29 just disappeared.

Was there anything there? Or was the awesomeness all in the multiplayer thread?

I don’t know what you guys th

Yep, we have the other thread. But because this was a general news about the game, not something specific about the multiplayer, i chose to post it here. Now move back to the mp thread :)
