Hope no one actually wants to play multiplayer BF3 on the Xbox tonight. I just get the you have been disconnected from the EA servers thing over and over and over when I try to change my player setup or get into multiplayer.

Yeah, I went to create an Origin account so I could buy and get my download started, and I can’t connect to anything. ea.com is loading intermittently at best.

Edit: Nevermind, it passed. Seems to be okay now.

I can’t get the server filter to work or the game to launch. Just constantly getting “Sorry, something technical went wrong!” errors from the browser. Fuck this shit.

Also, comical Origin clunkiness: There’s a link on the game entry in Origin for “Game Manual”: This downloads a zip file called “Manuals.zip” that contains 23 .png files, which give you the epilepsy warning for the game in 23 different languages. The .zip contains no manual.

Dear EA: you went to all the trouble to make this elaborate browser-based front end for your game. Did it not occur to you to include an HTML manual?

FWIW - I tried to get this digitally through Amazon a few hours ago. EPIC FAIL. They still won’t let me download it. Something about ‘order processing,’ and ‘this is normal.’ Really? I have fucking physical packages shipped quicker from these asshats.

Jumped in Campaign to set keys and get a feel but I can’t tell who’s playing…Me or my PC.

Ok, so my PC fights a guy and kicks him off the train. I climb out, get shot, then I see a big flashing “[SPACE]” prompt so I press Space bar once and wait and fall to my death. I try holding Space next time; same result. Lastly I try tapping it rapidly…fall. Dead. Watched PC fight the guy and kick him out the window and tried a combination of all three. Fall. Dead. Repeat. By now my a$$ is puckered from console-itis.

Ok, let’s try online now… I was hoping to get a little target practice before becoming someone else’s target practice.

woo, qt3 platoon 16 strong.

singleplayer is meh so far … 3-4 hrs in, russian part was fun, but the rest is pretty meh … though it is quite pretty (max settings with gtx570 and 2500k, no lag)

multiplayer got a lot of improvement from the beta, though i got a ‘connection timed out’ again after 2 hr play time on single server

oh and metro conquest seems one sided to the americans

So it took the single-player campaign all of two minutes to make me swear to never touch it again. A new record! Fortunately, I didn’t buy the game for single-player.

i keep getting killed by the guy who sneaks up behind you when you trace the wire… i hit the B key repeatedly and the right trigger but he keeps killing me… advice? (Xbox 360)
