My mind is blown by how many times MX and I were kicked off servers “by admin”, which is probably some stupid punkbuster crap.

It could legitimately be admins clearing space for people who donated money for the server, reserved slots or something.
It was legitimately 6-7 different servers, and all within 3 minutes. Half the servers were empty, so those admins must have wanted to keep the servers empty if so.
So I joined a party with my buds in the retarded little browser thing, which surprisingly worked pretty well, voice chat and all. But when we go to join a server as a party, inevitably one for person (usually me) the stupid plug-in just doesn’t launch the fucking game. Then - after all your friends are in game - you go to join them it says you can’t because there’s already a server spot reserved for you.
Awesome.
This launch is a failure of MMO proportions.

No shit. I still can’t connect to a MP game. I can’t even get my “Battlelog” feed to work because Origin hasnt figured out how to connect with my XBL profile.

Yeah, I was kicked tonight too on a server with at least 5 open slots, dunno what’s up. I played for another hour after that on different servers though, so it wasn’t consistent.
I don’t have the faintest clue to how to even do this, man
Wish I knew what was going on. I’ve been connecting and playing fine since launch.

Yeah, its a big surprise there are launch issues the first few days of one of the biggest franchises of multiplayer games.
Anyways - cant wait for it to release here in Denmark as well - still not sure whether to purchase it for PS3 or PC. My laptop ran the beta passasbly, but if its improved much, it should be better of course.

It is. And it seems there are lots of “fixes” that work for different people, but one way or another it is Punkbuster kicking you out and not an admin. For me it finally worked when I ran the setup file from evenbalance.com and ran through the “add game”, then “update” options in it. It looked like it just put in files that I manually put in earlier today, but it was magically happy and I stopped getting “kicked.”
Other PB fixes include: turning on PB option in BF3 in game options, manual plopping of files in your directory, turn off firewall, open PB ports, run PB file already installed in BF3 directory, etc. Whatever turns out to be the fix, it is PB.

What are you on about? In the real world it’s very early AM. The perfect time to do an update.
Sigh… they always chose this sort of time to update during the beta too. Which is the evening here in Australasia, when we all want to be playing. But we aren’t real people you see.
The problem is, you can’t even play the single player while they are updating their shit, thanks to their new system of launching the game from the online platform.
