I’m still using the BF3 preview driver that was released last month, just after the beta came out. But then AMD put out Rage-specific drivers to fix that nightmare, but they were different from the BF3 preview driver. Im not sure if the latest preview driver unifies them.
Meanwhile, AMD is seriously pissing me off. BF3 is only the biggest game of the year so far, and it’s been out for four days, and they still haven’t issued an official new driver yet. Nvidia was on the ball and got its new drivers out for BF3 on Monday.
At least you can play the campaign while Battlelog is down on the consoles. Might as well be bored with a gun.

This is perhaps a stupid question, but how do I actually apply the unlocks for the different weapons? Are they added to the weapon automatically, or do I pick different upgrades from some menu option I can’t find, or what? I can’t figure out what is going on with that.
Oh, well, that’s nice of them.
You have to apply them manually , look for the customize soldier option (bottom middle of the screen at the start of the round ( and each time before you respawn), each weapon that has unlocks should have a customize weapon orange up arrow in the corner, that should let you modify weapons to your liking.
What does that mean? I go down and an instant later somebody has revived me. How do I not accept?
Alistair what are your video settings on 6970 for 60 fps? I’ll probably do the campaign nearly maxed out, but it’s only 40-50.

You can press e to reject the revive.

When you get revived you’re lying on the ground with a pistol. At that time you can hit one button to “decline” the revive and permanently die, or start moving to get up and “accept” the revive.
I’m very happy with the sound so far in the campaign. I wish you could manually adjust the gunshots to be louder than other stuff like the voiceover.

I’m getting better. I think there is a big learning curve on the Spot functionality because the environment is cluttered and you wind up fixating on spotted enemies and miss other enemies. There’s also the old shift of being pretty conservative which is foreign to most other franchises. Other than that I’m starting to really enjoy it.

Me? I’m at Ultra on my 5850, minus some AA. That’s 40-50, which seems very fluid to me…
Looks like the upcoming Gulf of Oman from BF2 , will be looking a lot better.
