PC also has analog in the forum of joystick throttle and various axes (depending on your joystick). I haven’t tried flying in BF3 yet, can you not use the throttle like you could in previous battlefields? If so, yikes!

Havent seen this posted here, so here goes - pretty cool
I think that’s a joke picture to make fun of the lens flare and whatever that bright lighting effect is called.
I haven’t spent much time in vehicles. Is it possible to use mouse & keyboard for everything else, and then switch to a 360 controller for driving/flying a la Just Cause 2?
Yes.
Good luck finding out the buttons in the 30 seconds time you have before you need to rush to the plane to take it before someone else though ;)
Just dont press “B” or “Y” and you’ll be ok.
haha, i’ll keep that in mind. My one experience with a jet convinced me that I was absolutely not going to be doing any more flying with my mouse and keyboard.
best bet on PC is to have a joystick or gamepad for the flying parts and switch quickly when exiting/entering a vehicle.
I want one of these…

A bit long @ 17:00, but it’s quite something!
Apologies if it’s been posted already.
A better implmentation would be to set the throttle to a constant power (from 0% to 100%), changing up and down the number with W and S in increments of 5%.
I just tested out the respawn directional thing again with the same result as my first test. No matter which way I face when placing it I respawn facing the nearest wall.
I was looking through unlocks and stuff and the M1014 shotgun has a suppressor available… but only if you are a DICE employee. That’s just dirty man.
Looks like real life needs more lens flare.
If you are close enough to use a M1014… Unless it is like in BFBC2 where you could snipe down choppers with a shotgun… you probably dont need a shotgun.
And BLoom… Lots and Lots of Lovely console BLOOM to hide the Jaggies and make everything a oil painting.

Other unlocks as well are restricted to DICE employees. I think its funny.

Well this is the first time i have bought a new console game and been unable to find a game. I can’t connect to any game. Well done Dice!
I’m a bit disappointed that if you place a respawn beacon and then respawn as recon it goes away and you have to replace it. If you switch classes after you respawn, it will stay until you pick recon again.
Claymores go away on death :(
Mines stay after death :)
Whomever designed CO-OP in this game should be beaten up with a 360 with bloom enabled.
Who in their right mind thinks it is a good idea to have public matchmaking and then not have ANY options to chat with the other player in game, not to mention, to shut down BOTH games if one of the players decide he doesn’t want to play anymore.
I’ve spent more time watching the loading-screen to COOP than I have managed to play actual CO-OP missions.
“Waiting on player”
“You have been disconnected”
“Host has closed the connection”
And what-not™.
If you launch a coop mission, and both players successfully connect, the match should continue even if one player disconnects. In fact, implement some sort of drop-in system so other players can join.
The other alternative would be to just shut down public matchmaking altogether and require you to play it with someone on your friends list… Might as well buy a second BF3 copy and launch it on two computers to get a stable game that lasts.
Bastards.
Motherfucking
Bastards.
I’ve yet to play that mission longer than 15 seconds due to either disconnect, or the pilot just repeatedly crashing.

I finally managed to complete the POW Escape mission on HARD with a random… and I thought we had a good thing going, so I picked the chopper mission… See above for result.
For the co-op mission with the chopper, some people will disconnect once they realise that they are flying.
