I think you still need to buy the game. That crack just makes it so that you don’t have to use Origin to play the game. I’m just scared to use it because EA might ban your account if you do.

Considering how badly Origin hammers my machine whenever it runs, it would probably be worth it.
Totally unrelated programs hang for like 2 minutes whenever I start Origin. Total piece of crap software.

Anways, I opted into keeping the copy. I quite enjoyed BF 3 when I did not crash, however I am starting to get older and ever worse at shooters.

How can I best be a team player if I’m bad at seeing / shooting people?

At the moment I usually am in the middle / upper third of the scores (usually with a k/D ratio of 1 kill to 3-6 deaths) with a priority of

capture/objective > revive > spot > heal box/ammo box > shoot people

Any good weapons/unlocks/hints for a newb?

Medpacks, rezzes, and ammo are always greatly appreciated and don’t require twitch skills.

Capping objectives is also huge and more important than kill whoring. When you get high rank you’ll be able to select squad specializations as well.

Basically, sounds like you’re doing great, I’d be happy to have someone like you on my team.

Re : unlocks, if you’re looking to kill, the Support M249 is a very forgiving gun especially with the extended mag.

Just unlocked that last night and ended up in a good spot at a choke point. Went prone and that gun was just a death machine.

Is there ANYTHING that can be done about the friggin’ load times in this game? Getting into a multiplayer game is torturous. It takes 2-3 minutes for the initial launch and then another 1-2 minutes for the level to load. It doesn’t seem like a lot, but combined with the time it takes to find a server, all the crashes and the absurd wait time between rounds (30 seconds before loading the next level, another 1-2 minutes to load the level, another wait time, etc.) it just feels like the videogame equivalent of broadcast football.

The whole Battlelog thing is a novel idea restarting the game client everytime I join a new game is a lot of overhead.

These are the fixes :)

  • Fix for rubber banding
  • TDM/SQDM spawn point fix
  • crash fixes in end of round
  • Fix for connection problem when joining password protected servers

We will deploy these fixes at 09:00 CET which is 8:00 GMT and midnight pacific time on the 3rd of November.

These changes have already made their way to the PC so this time it´s going out for Xbox 360 and PS3.

they are free, when you buy the Dr Pepper. You still get the Dr Pepper and it doesnt’ cost more than a Dr Pepper without the code, therefore the code itself is free. Nice try on the stupid semantics though.
