You’re most likely to get that pin by fluking it, rather than making a conscious effort. Brakara’s right in that there are no squad leaders - you just have to kill someone in the vicinity of the MCOM when someone has looked at it and pressed Q to give the context-sensitive orders. They work on attack or defence. I’m not sure if it counts if you do it yourself (I would guess not).
I get it fairly regularly by sheer dint of doing my level best to be within fifteen feet of an MCOM at all times, attacking or defending, so I’m sure it’ll come.
I keep finding myself coming back to BC2, despite the flaws. Should get a Qt3 rumble going at some point.
What we need are more Qt3 members with PS3s purchasing MAG and joining S.V.E.R.! There’s no better time to join the cause, folks! S.V.E.R. needs you!

There are maybe ten of us who do occasionally, though it’s never organized. Basically someone fires up the game, and other people in mumble or steam notice and join. Sometimes it adds up to a fair number of people.

Me too. It’s still fun to play, and now that they’ve toned down the horn in conquest mode, it’s even better. I even picked up the Onslaught mode DLC since it’s only 400 pts this week, and that turned out to be fun too (would never have picked it up at its regular price).

nice - I loved Harvest day…perhaps, its time to buy this again!
Why did they wait so long to get new maps out?

Probably to keep the game interesting and renew interest occasionally.
Hunh? They waited to make new maps to keep the game interesting? How does that work?
literally my entire friends list for this game, is dead, no one plays it anymore.
maybe this will give the game a little jump start again?
Same here. And my friends and I aren’t hardcore gun porn nuts, so the imbalances betwen X and Y aren’t a big deal. What killed this game for us was fighting in the same damn maps over and over again.
The CoD, MoH, and even Halo games got this right. You can argue about how expensive the map packs are, but new maps keep the community playing.

well, instead of putting out all maps at launch, they waited a bit, release the maps, make people come back to play them, and hope it renews interest since that tends to wane after a while in games like this.
Honest question.
Are players supposed to play a game 8 months after its release?
I played a ton of BC2, one of the best games this year, but i played it -hardcore- for two months, and another two months more in a more relaxed way. In July i already left the game.
Have you seen the stats for Modern Warfare 2?
I think they waited way too long. Now they’re going to be trying to drum up interest in a game most people left just as the 800lb gorilla of Black Ops hits the market. It’s bad enough that they’re set on releasing a Vietnam expansion when all the commercials for Black Ops feature Hueys zipping over Vietnam’s jungles.

But i play around 15 games per year, instead of the 3-4 games of the typical hardcore CoD player.

What sucks about this new DLC is it will fragment the already small player base , that has recently been ravaged by the Black Ops release. :(
Indeed they both share a common base in that they are shooters, more specifically modern military shooters. However, I’m skipping CoDBlops and sticking with BC2 because it’s a totally different style of game, medium to long range vehicle centric combat!
Personally I can’t wait for the vietnam pack to come out, but I wish they’d upgrade punkbuster or something. Hackers are far too prevalent.
I’d also like to add that I stick with my PC online shooter for awhile, mainly because I’m a perpetual n00b and it takes me awhile to unlock all the weapons.
