Battlestar Galactica 21 - Blackjack in Casino Royale

Yeah, I think we can clear one from 2. I’ll thinking we’ll launch a redshirt to 4 as CAG action.

Get into viper, move to 2. CAG a redshirt to 4. Escort middle civvie from 2. @CraigM

Sabotage%20Investigated

Starting with @Lantz

Hey look jump prep! Also look, nasty.

Please hold, may play something
Question pm @CraigM

Ok, that’s cleared up, i will play nothing precheck @Lantz

I might play something precheck, depends on how we are looking on cards? Assuming that destiny will likely be against us.

(if we can pass it without any precheck cards, it would be less risk, as the card I’m considering comes with its own problems.)

I have the E3 RS I picked up with QT, not much else to add.

i can help, destiny only has 1 good card i believe

I am a little light, can help some

And how much treachery do we have left after airlock and recent discards? (that won’t hurt us too much if played.)

Probably pretty clear what card I’m considering now, let me know what you guys think. Could be risky given our luck with treachery effects.

i think you all have one. Might be worth it but could turn out very bad

Edited probably should not say info

Mine’s useless, so that leaves 2 + whatever destiny has in store. Let’s go it au naturale. Not playing precheck @Lantz

1 card

@Jorn_Weines

2 cards @rho21

1 card @soondifferent

2 cards @jeffreyb

2 cards @CraigM

Ok had a bookkeeping issue to deal with, and also work stuff. So, later than I hoped, here is the resolution…

Their stores were getting thin. At this point finding a broken fighter was easier than finding an overworked deck hand on the hangar bay. There simply wasn’t enough to go around, and Galactica was an old girl. Crates that had been in storage for years were being brought to live duty. Munitions well beyond their projected usable life found their ways into circulation. A petrified forest of crate detritus littered the grounds, broken and scattered.

Some of the unearthed fossils proved to be inert, others unstable. One such crate was HE rounds. Effective against the armor of certain Cylon ships, but corrosive as hell if it leaked.

Which it had.

A sickly black ichor, with a golden green sheen, seeped out of cracks on the crate. A crate that was on top of a stack near the fighter fuel tanks, stacked on top of a crate of rations for long distance survey crews. This compound was likely the volatile explosive that made the rounds so effective, but was extremely toxic and unstable if not suspended in the preservative compound. A careless spark could take out half the deck, and potentially blow a hole through the hull.

Every available military engineer was brought in under high alert. The entire port pod shut down for flights, so as to minimize the potential for a wayward tremor or kinetic trigger. Machinery quickly rigged for careful handling and transit by fabricating slings attached to weapons loaders. But the conundrum remained, how to lift the offending crate without potentially causing a chain reaction.

Ultimately caution won the day. As tough as it would be to knowingly destroy potentially good, and valuable, food stocks, far better to take that loss, than risk losing them anyhow, along with the fuel tanks, by trying to separate the crates. The slings were attached, the pair of crates lifted, and the loader slowly drove them to the deck airlock. There they would be released from the bounds of artificial gravity, and allow the winds of space to claim their bounty. With military precision this plan was executed, and an hour after the crisis had begun, their wayward supplies were drifting off into the deep.

They just hoped that food would not be missed.
