The starboard pod had been neglected, potentially fatally so. Ever since the Centurion had spent the better part of a week beating on the doors, they had pretty much consigned it to irrelevance. And with their dwindling numbers they didn’t really need the space.
But there were still tanks of tylium, and raw ore. They had stored some vipers there too, mostly as parts, but with duty rotations being what they were who knew when those craft would be called upon.
But they saw a problem. The tanks were leaking. They could send in a repair crew, try and fix it, or they could simply ignore it. Vent it into space maybe. They didn’t really need the fuel anyhow, not with the smaller number of ships left. They could consolidate other reserves and…
Yeah, people were more important than the risk. Getting an appreciable percentage of their remaining population blown up was not worth trying to salvage scrap. It’s not like the hangar wasn’t already beat to hell anyhow.
