Battlestar Galactica 24 - These aren't the Craigs you're looking for

As a noob to these expansions, can you choose the same option twice from the Basestar bridge?

No, it’s choose any two. Also note you choose both before either happens.

I am playing and moderating a game. I am lucky that my head hasn’t exploded.

I couldn’t do it. You are braver than I.

I’m out of the boardgaming circle, so I don’t know how relevant it still is, but that was expected with a FFG game.

I feel like this isn’t going well for us.

Can’t think of anything other than damage Galactica and pursuit/jump track again.

Note the “Damage Galactica” option is actually “Roll a die, if the result is less than the number of raiders on the main game board draw 2 Galactica damage tokens, choose 1 to resolve.”

There are currently no raiders on the main game board, they’re all on the cylon fleet board getting ready to jump in.

So you can choose to roll on the jump / pursuit track first, but there is only a 5/8 chance that the fleet will actually arrive to let the other half of the action have any effect. Sadly you do have to choose both halves of the action before anything happens.

@Otthegreat: Is this your preferred course of action, or would you prefer something different?

Right! Yeah I’ll go with something else. Not sure exactly what yet.

@Otthegreat: Drop a base star or raiders on them, and roll for the jump track?

Yeah probably the best call.

@rho21 I’ll drop raiders in 4 if I can, otherwise I’ll place a basestar in 4 instead.

All raiders are on the board. I think you can choose some to move if you want.

I didn’t know that, how does that work?

Found a clarification. No, you can’t remove raiders in order to place them.

So that’s a basestar added to CFB zone 4, followed by a roll on the jump / pursuit track… which is a 2.
Jump prep back to zero.

I think that’s the best we could have hoped for, @Otthegreat.

@jeffreyb: What are you doing this turn?

I agree, that’s probably the best we can do for now.

So i can delegate, Yay

@Lantz @soondifferent

Command 4 activations? Or boomer has better stuf?

I could move civvies with comms

Or

Go into space, cag and then
Escort, scout or get some cards

Probably safe to assume they will keep rolling track and damage

Command x4 sounds good, as for the other action comms or cag both sounds good. Comms maybe we can sacrifice 5 to 6 and move 4 to 5 so that we can get all the raiders going clockwise.

They are coming into space pretty much right away. We either need a lot of vipers or escort away stuff.

I think it’s best to get you into space so you can CAG.

You could launch into space, CAG, then XO soon to double up on command. I would vote for between CAG and soon’s 5 actions to be like launch mk 7 viper in 4, move to 5, escort 5, launch mk 7 viper in 3, move to 2. Then we have buffers in place and 2 vipers in 2 to start heavily escorting.

I should be able to keep pilots safe for over a round so we should be in ok shape in space for the short term anyways.
