And there. It. Was. The ultimate cause. The genesis of their demise. Every ship in the colonial fleet a beacon, an invitation to destruction one of these days. A parasitic infection that had wrapped itself around the central nervous system of colonial commerce, spreading to the Cylon saucers messages, full of secrets.

Now, like deadly echoes the virus was coming back to life. Preparing to finish what had begun, opening the gates to dawn, playing pied piper to the foot soldiers seeking to introduce themselves in the flesh.

But signs of life and independence woke themselves to the danger. Fate and the world may be cruel, but they would not surrender goodbye. Humanity was on the run, and they would run like hell. So no surrender, just determination. Crews began to work on the computers to take it back, and marines gathered on the landing pods as the virus opened the doors, ready to welcome the machines.

The humans had high hopes that, with some space, they could set controls for survival. For now, they had the chance. They needed time.

Er, well judged everyone. Phew.

Hang on, 19-3 != 13. 16 is much safer.

I don’t know what you are talking about.

Your turn.

Might I have some cards, in that case?

I gave them to you in Vassal, is that not enough? Oh, right. Guess not.

The Admiral’s in FTL control now, right? It’s kind of important to me with Romo’s negative effect.

Sensible actions I can see right now:

  • Head over to Pegasus and shoot the basestar or some raiders.
  • Use command to target a heavy raider.
  • Use command to escort a couple of civvies.
  • Scout the destination deck.

Thoughts?

Good work on the check team!

Honestly I think that those are all decent. I would lean towards shooting the basestar.

Any of those, but the heavies are harder to hit. But! We have to get rid of them sometime.

How is it this messy already?

Ugh. Long day.

I’m not a great fan of shooting the basestar. They’re tough to kill and reappear so quickly on the pursuit board. Raiders are more effectively destroyed by fighters. The civvies are a good thing to deal with when there aren’t cylons attacking. The heavies, however, are a legitimate threat this early.

@CraigM: So I’m going to move to Command (discard 0RT) and get the unnamed pilot to take two shots at the heavy raiders.

I can neither confirm nor deny that the pilot’s name is Sara Prace, or if the Admiral is still in the FTL control room.

Lara Brace?

Too soon, man, too soon.

Tory, why do you keep talking? You’re just some journalist. Get out of my office. Romo, why is she here?

Tory’s currently handling all interactions with civilians for me.
