I have a crazy pants weekend, so definitely wonā€™t get the ball rolling until Sunday night or Monday.

Also I am traveling on vacation the week of Thanksgiving. Would people rather take a week off or start afterwards or just deal with me only processing minimal turns that week.

In the meantime, anyone have deep thoughts on what we should do this round? I will probably run a pegasus & fleet board but skip New Caprica unless everyone is frothing for it.

Iā€™m feeling like mixing up character choices/assignments just for a fresh factor. Maybe something like everyone picks a character but then we randomly assign them to players for the game or a dealerā€™s choice or something. I donā€™t want anyone to have to play a role that they hate for a month.

I can pretend I know how life will be for the next couple of months. It should be fine, maybe just not immediate replies.
I like to pick semi-randomly anyway, but donā€™t want to force it on others. I canā€™t entirely recall how the optional content went atm though. Well, other than NC, which is fine.

I would happily play with random character assignments. Or, alternatively, randomly assign roles and blacklist a handful of the most commonly played characters in those roles?

Have people say ā€˜I donā€™t want a Politicianā€™ for example and randomly draw from everything else. If you draw a horrible stupid character just do it again without telling anyone. :)

I think I did some horrifying ranked choice system that was overly complicated in this game, it worked, I think.

We will be doing Pegasus, Demetrius, Cylon Leaders, and finish up with New Caprica this game. Aka very similar to the last game I moderated: Battlestar Galactica 34 - Rule 34

I am going to do something different with Treachery, I will figure out what after I get wrecked at a charity auction tomorrow. Feel free to discuss options here or send me a message. I just find the mid to late game Treachery cascades limit a lot of potential game branches because humanity and toasternity get so focused on it.

We will play with the obvious minimum of 1 each Military, Politics, Support, Pilot, and Cylon Leader

When you sign up you can say if there is a role type that you do not want to play. You also get to vote on which role will have a second character in play. I will then randomly assign two character options for players to pick from to fill in the roles.

Turn order will be in order from soonest to latest in the series that each characters die. Tiebreaker will be oldest humans first, toasters last.

As a reminder I am on a family vacation Nov 21st-27th so there will be very little in the way of game progress during that window.

Weā€™ll airlock some people if we over signup, with numbers cooked in the favor of moderators and new players as tradition requires.
