If Galactica was parked inside of a wormhole that dragged things inside it along at faster than the speed of light, would they be able to spin up the FTL drives?

Aside from Galactica being an old, about-to-be-decommisioned ship which instead has been jumping and fighting all the time these past few years, with way less than standard maintenance crews and replacement parts, doing completely warranty-breaking shit like jumping into atmosphere, and lately having Boomer do a jump from a couple feet away, which apparently is a big dangerous damaging no-no.

The Caprica pilot is already available for preorder. If the clip is any indication, it’s going to be a snooze fest.

…just when you think the UN couldn’t be more pathetic.

More govt money well spent I see.

Well, he got expelled out of the airlock after he got shot.

The hardcore can get the audio and video transcript here: http://www.un.org/webcast/2009.html

It’s in .rm though. Thanks UN!

HEADS UP on the final episode(s?) on Friday night, especially for TiVo owners: for some reason my TiVo was only going to record the second part of the two-part episode named “Daybreak,” despite the fact that I have a Season Pass. Apparently Part one is 1 hour long, and Part two is 2 hours 11 minutes long. So make sure your unit records both.

Wouldn’t that part 1 be a rerun from last week?

I know, I know. I was (mostly) kidding. What was annoying to me is that suddenly – with no warning – everything in the ship is coming apart. Yes, she’s an old beast, but to have in the span of a few weeks of series time both the cosmetic and structural integrity of the ship all start to fail at once? Seems a bit of a stretch.

I don’t know. I guess I didn’t pay attention to the title of last week’s episode. If that’s the case, never mind.

Not really, the same thing happened to the series as a whole.

Art imitating life.

Oh, you know… structural integrity of the week syndrome.

I dare anyone to find this on TVtropes.

Yes, I’m lazy.

I know my Comcast DVR is going to screw it up somehow, despite my checking the settings 3 times.

Zing! (Sad, but true)

Yep, last week was part 1 and this week will be part 2/3 (1 hour of air for each part). So last week’s episode isn’t going to record if you have it set to record new episodes only (that’s how I have my DVR set up).

Then it’ll be on the Comcast OnDemand at midnight. ;-)

I just watched my TiVo’d “Last Frakkin’ Special.” I’m getting pretty sad that BSG is ending.

Did any of you who watched it notice how many shots we saw of male extras and crew members finding excuses to hug, touch and otherwise be near Tricia Helfer? Heh.
