Cool but creepy.

Fred and Sharon are at it again. I think this might be the most avant-garde one yet.

That is pretty cool, but I prefer the death metal remix.

heh, I love the lady sewing.

MR T never goes out of style.

Go ahead, try and tell me Sissy Spacek isn’t totally freakin’ hot. I dare you.

-Tom

Well, yeah, in 1974. Very sleestak-looking now, unfortunately.

That Sissy Spacek video doesn’t do anything at all for me. One of the poetv comments said it best:

“so what? moderately attractive woman twirling a baton. is this an american thing?”

I didn’t even know that muppet blooper videos even existed.

Anax, there’s nothing wrong with being gay.

But, yeah, maybe it’s a Southern thing. A younger Sissy Spacek twirling her baton is about the hottest thing I’ve seen since Josephine demoing Wii Fit at the Nintendo press conference.

-Tom

Wow. That’s better than the similar stuff I’ve seen from Gorillas, and better than most people I’ve seen attempt art.

I’m sort of assuming that “twirling your baton” is a euphemism for female masturbation or something like that. Am I wrong? Either way, I’m totally on board with Carrie-era Sissy Spacek being hot.

This is one of the best.

And I like this comment:

MAN COME ON.
It’s like. Ok… I guess I have to explain…

  • Sissy Spacek
  • David Bowie
  • Slow Motion
  • Baton
  • America

I just don’t believe that video. There has to be a trick. I wish they’d zoom out while it was painting.

At the very least, I’m sure the elephant was trained exactly what to paint and where (that is, it didn’t come up with it). I guess that’s obvious anyway, and it’s still pretty amazing if that’s what is happening and it’s not a hoax.

EDIT: so turns out not a hoax, but directed:

The elephants aren’t consciously trying to represent trees. They’re given a brush with brown paint on it and the trainer waves his arms up and down. Then they’re given one with green on it and the trainer makes a prodding motion towards the paper, etc. If the elephant copies the trainer, it gets a bun or something.

That’s pretty cool, even still, I doubt anyone really thought elephants came up with the idea for a self portrait.

I was on my way here to post that very link. Damn you.
