This is incredibly impressive. Really amazing choreography and camera work (the first shot is like a minute long, with fighting the whole time). It’s a shame they aren’t better actors (and obviously gave one second of thought to the costumes). Still: wow.

My favorite part is how they didn’t bother with any kind of costume. The contrast with the serious action is hilarious.

If you’re sick of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, you’re sick of things like melody and lyrics, not just Elton John.

Saw a Sir Elton show a couple years ago. It’s probably not news to Elton fans, but age has robbed his voice of the upper registers. That falsetto-ish switch he does in a number of hits wasn’t even attempted, and it clearly affected his choices from his back catalogue.

Nonetheless, he’s still worth seeing. A genuine musician, and his chops on the piano are still excellent.
