You can pull up to turn your horizontal velocity into vertical velocity, and let gravity bleed your kinetic energy from you. I’ve gone normal skydiving, and it’s amazing how quickly kinetic energy can be manipulated & (effectively) eliminated if you know what you’re doing.

Which I didn’t.

Which is why when I landed, it hurt like hell. (Even with the parachute deployed)

Edit - Oh… yeah. I assumed you saw the parachute.

They deploy parachutes if I’m not mistaken. You can see them do that at the end of the video.

I thought the same thing. Are the skis chipped or something so they can trek into the wilderness later to retrieve them? Seems like you get one jump and have to go dig out your skis.
