Go through a lot of skis that way.

So fake. That is totally CG.

Also, can we introduce this into that Dark Knight thread about whether Batman can really fall off a building?

P.S. Hey, how do those dudes land? Do they just splash into the water? Because while that looks really thrilling, I can’t imagine it makes for an easy landing unless you aim for a pillow truck or something.

Did you see the parachutes at the end?

I just now saw it. Quit posting so fast. Now I can’t edit the question out of my post, you jerk!

-Tom

You can pull up to turn your horizontal velocity into vertical velocity, and let gravity bleed your kinetic energy from you. I’ve gone normal skydiving, and it’s amazing how quickly kinetic energy can be manipulated & (effectively) eliminated if you know what you’re doing.

Which I didn’t.

Which is why when I landed, it hurt like hell. (Even with the parachute deployed)

Edit - Oh… yeah. I assumed you saw the parachute.
Nevermind.

They deploy parachutes if I’m not mistaken. You can see them do that at the end of the video.

The image of them landing in a pillow truck is highly amusing though.

Next you’ll be telling me this isn’t real.

Funny you should mention that…

I posted this a little over a year ago

Cult Procession Fail

They must go through lots of skis.

But how do they stop?

They must go through lots of skis.

I thought the same thing. Are the skis chipped or something so they can trek into the wilderness later to retrieve them? Seems like you get one jump and have to go dig out your skis.
