That rocked. I’m pretty jaded to internet videos these days, but I watched that one all the way through.
Oh my. From there, I found this. Which features, in the info section, the best use evar of the word “conveniently”.

A surprising performance on Britain’s Got Talent.
I don’t do this often, but

Susan Boyle has exploded all over all media here and I would be surprised if she hasn’t been on tv etc. as well in the states. We even had a thread…

My bad. I vaguely recall the name of that thread but didn’t actually get around to reading it.

The first 30 seconds alone have a frightening amount of footage from “Cool as Ice”
edit: truly the video that can be used to combat the Elder Ones.
It’s a good thing that video didn’t exist a few years ago, or we’d be reading about it in those torture memos.

Amazing ad that sort of reminds me of the opening credit sequence for Watchmen.
As usual, apologies if it’s a repost.

[FWIW, found it at Andrew Sullivan’s site under the heading “Cool Ad Watch”]

Jones is BACK!
If you’re unfamiliar with Jones, check out his original ad.
“…we’re gonna make it deliciousible!”
Eminem parodies his own song.
This man’s sheer dickishness leaves me in awe.

Yes, that’s stupid. The first bit, ignoring the ridiculous fencetop ride, I was thinking “I’m decent with a bike, and if I had ten hours a day for a year or so, I could do this.” Then around the mark you specify, you learn that no, you can never do this, sorry. Crazy.

How do these bikes work anyway? I can see what looks like disc brake on the front wheel, and it looks like he can pedal in each direction to drive the bike, but I can also hear the chain winding and spinning freely. Is there a catch after a certain amount of rotation when you start to pedal in the opposite direction?
Also, on a more humourous note, where are his pegs and front handlebars cushion?
::bike guy steps in::
He’s not actually pedaling backwards to move that way. He has to pedal backwards as the freewheel (gears on the rear wheel) spin backwards.
There are lots of fantastic trials riders, but that was some of the better riding I’ve seen in a while.

Yeah, he’s got one gear and a front brake, pretty standard except for the lack of a seat. He can just move the weight of the bike like a freak, that and using it like a pogo stick.

Okay, that makes more sense. I’d read that some track bikes didn’t have brakes, and that the only way to stop was to pedal in the opposite direction. So I’m guessing that is a disc brake on the front?
I kinda wished they’d mic’d his bike a bit. The ZZZZZZ-KLNUG sound it makes as he gets ready to pop it up is just as satisfying as skateboarding noises.
Edit:
Ah, confirmed!
