This Autotune in the News guy is brilliant

And I failed. Ugh, missed the original post.

a video with a baby in it is blatant exploitation regardless of the content. I don’t find making a baby do “adorable” dog tricks for a sappy audience any less objectionable to the video being discussed.

No babies were harmed in the production of this thread.

A video where the baby punches his dad in the nuts is good clean fun.

The below site is from one of the guy’s who made the MGMT video. Lotta behind-the-scenes pics, one of which shows the toddler in the crib amongst the monsters, so he at least saw them there.

I thought for a second my dad was posting. “Autotune in the News” is totally what’d he call it, too.

On the plus side, you made me check for a new one, and there was! Thanks!

Ummm… Mary Louise Parker reading Alice in Wonderland in bed (SFW.) She did it for Esquire. And there’s a link to photos that are definitely NSFW. And I suddenly want some pie. She just gets hotter as she ages.

nipple in esquire??

(related to post at bottom of previous page, sorry for the seemingly random url)

45 seconds in and there’s a Michael Jackson gag. Ruhoh!

Yeah, bad timing there. :)

You know, once the light goes out, those monsters are above him, he’s put in a restricted environment he’s unable to escape from (a crib) and presuming there are no parents to be seen (or is it worse for the parents to be around and laughing at him, I wonder), I can imagine long-term psychological trauma.

You don’t need to smack a kid for it to be called abuse. Intentionally causing fear in an infant for laughs is not exactly behaviour calling for approval.

Seriously, imagine locking your kid in a closet for just a few minutes. Depending on the child, tthe amount of hysteria (and other conditions, such as claustrophobia) that could be caused in not to be understated.

Baseline I’m not sure we really know enough to be sure we’re not causing damage to an infant when we place one in that kind of situation. How people can lump it in as “America’s Funniest Home Videos” just makes it unsettling.

I am drowning in apathy.

You sure it’s not ignorance?

Is this the part where we resort to name calling and personal insults because people disagree with you? Hair fucking trigger on that one 'round these parts.

OH! You missed the joke! Crap. And it was such a nice softball too.

Swing and a miss. Oh well.

Damnit! Now I’ll never get the punchline.

Get on with the program, n00b!

We’re all still friends right? We all just agree that I shouldn’t watch your kids.

Well, this discussion seems to have become pretty heated. I certainly understand where the people who have a problem with it are coming from, even if I think it’s being over protective.
