I wonder if they really found the landfill?

The next Star Wars kid? He seems much more aware.

This is Norway.

Not sure if this is real, but box of wine in microwave does something surprising, at least in magnitude:

H.

I want to believe. That was awesome.

That was “champagne” in a box or something right? Heat makes the bubbles go faster, so in an enclosed space…

Still, that was a pretty big boom.

I have a feeling that any liquid under pressure would do the same thing. Microwaves can cause water to become superheated and explode instantly into steam (snopes agrees with me,) so I am guessing that’s what happened in this case.

At any rate, it’s definitely something Mythbusters should look at!

Isn’t boxed wine also contained in foil? That would definitely help the process quite a bit.

Yes it is. It’s a big enclosed foil bag - and it was white wine, not champagne.

The wine box video is so fake. Come on, guys. There’s certainly not enough energy in a home microwave to generate enough vapor pressure inside a box of wine that big in four minutes to blow parts of the microwave through drywall. There isn’t that much energy in alcohol combustion, either.
