Big Huge Games becomes "Epic Baltimore"

I’m glad BHG (more importantly, many of the people working there) have had such a soft landing after such a huge jolt.

I thought the problem with Reckoning wasn’t that it didn’t make money, but rather that it didn’t make -enough- money to fix 38’s cash flow issues? That certainly wouldn’t be true at Epic.

Reckoning was never going to be a revenue stream for 38 Studios in 2012. When EA agreed to publish the game in March of 2010, the agreement called for the publisher to cut 38 Studios a $35m advance in exchange for all royalties and revenues earned by Reckoning upon release.

Awesome. I really hated that it looked like BHG was a goner. Good on Epic and BHG and I hope that they find much success in this.

Like Halo Wars! Gears of War Wars!
